“So that’s a yes?” Drake asks. “You guys wanna get married? For real this time.”

“More than anything,” I reply before leaning in to press my lips to his. Austin slaps her hands over her eyes at the sight of us kissing. She keeps it there, peeking through her fingers as Drake and Hunter share a kiss.

“Abso-fucking-lutely,” Hunter adds with a hand on the back of Drake’s neck and the girls pressed between them.

“Daddy,” Nix scolds him again.

“Let’s do this, then,” Drake says with a wide grin on his face.

A photographer pops up to take a picture of all six of us, and we stand together proudly, smiling as the flash goes off.

Then, we set the kids down and send them off with Charlie and Emerson. Charlie has to bribe West with cookies to get him to leave my side. But eventually, they all walk up together to sit in the front row.

Hunter and Drake then put their arms out and I loop mine through theirs. Tears won’t stop stinging behind my eyes as everyone stands and the three of us walk down the aisle together. It feels like a dream.

My first wedding was wonderful and beautiful, but something was missing. We knew that then, but it was a hole in our lives we didn’t know how to fill.

Now, we are complete—truly and wholly fulfilled.

This is who we are. It might not be what people expect, but our lives are as normal as everyone else’s. We love each other, and that is all that truly matters. If there truly are rules that say this love isn’t right, then fuck the rules.

For these two, I would gladly break them every day.

As the three of us reach the woman standing under the arch, she smiles sweetly at us. I drop my arms from theirs, and as I do, they each link their hands with mine.

I hear the crowd behind us sit as she starts.

“Hunter, Isabel, and Drake,” she says with a smile. “We are gathered here today to celebrate your union and your love.”

As she continues, I feel Drake squeezing my fingers and I glance in his direction to see the pure joy in his features. He truly wanted this. I was a fool to think he’d leave us or want anything from his life before us. He’s not a changed man because he never truly needed to change. But I do think he is a happier one.

We gave him everything he needed the day he agreed to join us. It was never about promiscuity or fun. It was about filling the hole in his heart with strangers when what he really needed was us to fill it for him.

I will never doubt him again for as long as we live.

When it’s time for him to say his vows, his eyes dance back and forth between Hunter and me, and I can’t keep the tears from falling. Even Hunter is misty-eyed.

Then it’s my turn and I do the same, looking back and forth between them. I’m making vows tous. To this life we share and the future we have together.

Last, it’s Hunter’s turn. He can barely get through the vows without his voice cracking, and it makes Drake smile to see it.

When the officiant asks for the rings, Hunter and I turn toward Drake expectantly. With a bashful smile, he reaches into his pocket.

“I hope you don’t mind,” he says. “But you haven’t worn yours since West was born, so I took it to the jeweler. He fixed the size and added two diamonds to the setting. So now, there are three.”

When he opens the box, I let out a gasp. The ring is beautiful. It was always beautiful, but now it’sus. With three princess-cut diamonds in a row, it represents ourrealrelationship.

“I love it,” I whisper.

As we say our vows, Drake slips my ring on my finger.

I slip Hunter’s on his.

And Hunter slips Drake’s on his.

Then the three of us hold our hands in the middle as the officiant officially pronounces us married, and the crowd behind us goes wild. Their cheers only get louder as Drake hoists me off the floor in his excitement. He kisses me first before dropping my feet down and grabbing Hunter by the back of the head and laying a long, ravenous kiss on him.

It’s a frenzy, fun and loud, but that’s us. And that’s exactly what I want out of life.
