It took me a few seconds to register what she’d said. “Really?”

Abbey let her hands drop to rest against her stomach.

“You’re pregnant?” My face stretched, and my smile likely rivaled Liam’s.

Abbey grinned.

I picked Abbey up and spun her around. Abbey loved us, she had agreed to marry us, and she was going to have our baby.Life couldn’t get any better than this. Joy tingled along every one of my nerve endings.

“Hell yes!” Liam hollered, drawing the attention of our friends.

Abbey was giggling by the time I put her down.

“How long have you known?” Liam cupped her face.

“A day. I missed my period, but I wasn’t sure how to tell you.” She worried her lip between her teeth.

I tilted her chin up. “Never be afraid to tell us something. No matter what it is, we’ll be there for each other and figure it out. But this, darlin’? This is the best news you could ever have given us.”

“I won’t. From now on, we’re a team. I love you both so much.” She ran one hand along my cheek and one on Liam’s.

“This is the greatest gift, dulcinée. And tomorrow we’re going to make sure you are at the doctor’s office first thing in the morning.”

Abbey laughed. “Let Blake and Tori go first. They take priority.”

“No one is more important than you are.” I tapped Abbey on the nose.

“I love you guys.” She sighed. “Thank you for rescuing me.”

“Thank you for saving us right back.” She had no idea how true that statement was. I had a new lease on life, and it was all because of her. And Liam’s heart that had wanted to find our love so badly, was finally content.

We watched the fire trucks and ambulances drive away. Those we knew waved goodbye, their faces grim with the sight of our home in tatters behind us. They didn’t realize we looked at this as a new beginning, not an ending. I snuggled Abbey from behind, keeping my arms tight around her, my palms covering her belly. It was amazing to think our baby was growing right there.

Thomas clapped a hand to my back. “Stay at our place until this gets sorted out.”

I looked at Liam to see if he was on board.

“We’d appreciate that,” Liam answered.

“We’re family,” Declan reminded us. “We’re here for whatever you need.”

“Thank you both,” Abbey responded, and I could picture a smile on her beautiful face.

They both wished us congratulations as they dispersed and went to their home, giving us a few minutes of alone time.

Liam grabbed Abbey’s hand and kissed her knuckles. “Come on, let’s relax. I still need to check every inch of our future wife’s body to make sure she’s not hurt anywhere else.” He waggled his eyebrows, and Abbey and I both laughed.

It felt good to laugh.

“Maybe we can see how loud we can make her scream before the Kingstons kick us out,” I said, leading the way to the big house.

The three of us walked together as we made our new path for our future.
