“Make sure you’re on your best behavior,” she reminded Sam, pointing a finger at his chest. “I want you to make a good first impression with my brother.”
“Of course, I will,” he said, waving away her concerns. “I can be very charming, you know. That’s why you fell for me from the start.”
Lexi rolled her eyes. “From the start? Was taking me hostage a part of that charm?”
He playfully glared at her. “Watch it, or you’ll find yourself tied to the bed tonight.”
