I blow out the two number-five candles on my New York baked cheesecake birthday cake.
Yep, today's the big day.
"Did you make a wish?" Leo asks.
My eyes find Marsh, and he pokes his head out from behind the camera. He smiles, and my chest blooms.
"No need," I answer. "I've got everything I've ever wished for and more right here on this yacht."
"Awww." Rove clutches his chest. "And look, guys, he didn't hurl this time."
I am never going to live that down. I roll my eyes and slice the cake for everyone to enjoy.
We're on the sun lounge of my yacht, the sun beating down on us, because yes, in this part of Australia, with temps in the nineties, you can sit shirtless on a boat in the middle of winter.
"How are you settling into your new life, Marsh?" Leo asks.
"I love it." Marsh beams. "Six months in Oz and six months back home is pretty damn perfect if you ask me."
"It sure is," I agree.
"And your brothers are cool with it?"
Marsh chuckles. "They're coming around to the idea. Apparently, the rule is whoever we fall in love with has to move to the mountains."
We all chuckle.
"But with Tal and me wanting to spend winters here in Australia, that frees us up to spend the holidays in the States with them. That's always been super important to my brothers and me, so I think they're fine with it."
