Damn, girl, lunch cannot come too soon.

LOL! I’ll see u at 1pm. Time for me to go running.

Okay, bye, beautiful.

Bye.

I lowered the phone. Had I really just agreed to have sex with one man while another watched? I pressed my fingers to my lips and realized I was trembling. Was it from fear or excitement? “Both,” I whispered. I sucked a deep breath and let it out slowly. “You can always change your mind, Zelda. Drew would understand. I think Aithan would, too.”

I slowly stood and slipped my phone into the pocket of my running pants. Looking at nothing but my own feelings, I had to acknowledge the surprising truth. “I want to do this.” The thought of being with both men turned me on more than anything I’d ever considered doing before.

It was scary, but in an exciting I’ve-got-butterflies-the-size-of-turkeys-in-my-belly way. Not an oh-god-I’m-gonna-barf-in-the-corner-and-cry way.

I shook my hands, trying to settle the trembling, as I headed for the door. I definitely needed that run to calm my nerves.

When I returned home, I found Drew sitting on my living room floor in his boxers and my blue terrycloth bathrobe, typing away, headphones on, head nodding, lips moving. Lost in his own world, he chuckled at something he wrote.

I plopped down opposite him and opened my mail, sorting junk from bills and trying to act casual.

Finally, he saved his file and looked up. “You look shiny and sweaty.”

“Running does that to me.”

“So does fucking.”

I bit my lower lip. “When is your flight?”

“Eight-fifteen tonight. I’ve got a car picking me up here at three forty-five. Gotta go back to the hotel for my shit.”

I nodded. “I have a lunch date with Aithan.”

“Nice!” He high-fived me.

“He asked about you.”

His brows arched. “Jealously?”

“No, more curious. I let slip that you like to watch.”

“Oh?”

“He’s okay with it. In fact, it turned him on.”

“Ooh.” He grabbed my ankle and his pupils were like saucers. “That is one hundred percent hot. You bringing him home after lunch?”

I swallowed and nodded. “Yeah.” My voice sounded breathy.

Drew put his computer aside and crawled over to kiss me, tongue sweeping my lips before plunging hungrily into my mouth. “That will be the best damn going-away present ever, Brick,” he said against my lips.

I smiled and stroked his jaw. “Gotta keep you coming back for more.”

He laid me back. “Oh, I want more, alright. A whole lot more.”

Lunch consisted of chicken taquitos with guacamole, jicama-avocado salad, carrot-bacon fritters, and berry crisp topped with vanilla coconut milk ice cream. All AIP compliant and all delicious. Aithan had even finagled the recipes from Tobias’s chef, and I sent profuse praise and thanks back to the kitchen.

When I was getting ready for my date, Drew had discovered a dark-blue trench coat dress at the back of my closet. I’d paired it with my leopard print wedges and pulled my hair up into a sloppy chignon.
