“I mean, look at you. And look at me.” My gesture went from his rock-hard physique to my pillowy one.

His gaze roamed my body. “I’m looking, Zel. And I love what I see.”

“Don’t you want some hardbodied woman?”

He shook his head. “We’ve discussed this already. I’m surrounded by women all day. All shapes and sizes. I know the difference between healthy and unhealthy and it’s not about washboard abs. You’re fit and gorgeously curvy and have this sultry voice that makes me want to close my eyes and soak it in for hours. You’re smart and funny, Zel. You’re successful and a helluva good cook, and you don’t spend every minute counting macros, tracking your steps, and refusing to enjoy life because it might be a little unhealthy. I’ve had more than enough ofthat.” He caught my waist again and pulled our hips together. “What I want is more ofthis.”

I stared at him.

“You look surprised.”

“Shocked, I think.”

“Because I know sexiness and beauty come from what’s inside a woman?”

I pressed my lips together and nodded. “I owe you an apology.”

Now he looked surprised. “Why?”

“Because a part of me assumed you were shallow. I’ve had too many shitty experiences with other men who were. I was wrong and I’m sorry.”

He smiled. “Apology accepted. I honestly don’t know why you’d bother with a relationship, especially after Tristan dumped all over your confidence. You don’tneeda man. That’s obvious.”

“Need and want are different things.”

“True.” He cupped my jaw. “So what do you want, Zel?”

“Not to screw this up.”

“Me, too.” He kissed me again then murmured, “And to go inside.”

“Fair enough.” I led him into the hallway and hung my purse on one of the coat hooks above the padded bench beside the door. When I turned, Aithan captured my face. He backed me into the wall, his mouth and hands firm but not cruel. Trapped between the wall and his hard body, I gasped as he kissed his way along my jaw, down my throat, to my chest. His fingers played across my nipples, teasing them hard.

“You’re so beautiful, and this dress is sexy as hell, but it has got to go.” He caught my hands and placed them on the tie at my waist. “Pull.” I did and the bow unraveled. “Now the buttons,” he said against my throat and moved my hands to the top one.

Trembling, I started moving down the buttons, slipping each wide, silver disc through its hole. I’d never had a man tell me to undress like this. He wasn’t demanding, just certain. He knew what he wanted and giving it to him excited me.

When I was finished, Aithan eased the dress open and caressed me with his gaze. I’d chosen a matching bra and panties, blue-and-cream striped silk with tiny decorative bows. “Goddamn, that is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.” His mouth crushed mine and his jacket hit the floor followed by his shirt.

Aithan sought the pins holding up my hair, and he made quick work of removing them. He tossed each aside then took down the chignon and ran his fingers through my curls. Pressing his lips to my ear, he murmured, “You don’t know how beautiful you are.”

He held my gaze for a long moment, then he growled and pinned me against the wall again, lifting my left leg over his hip and grinding his erection against me through his jeans. His fingers found the catch at the front of my bra. With a deft twist, the cups separated and he slipped my breasts free. He palmed them, humming happily as his fingers teased my sensitive nipples and my hips jerked against him.

I started to step out of my shoes, but a voice from the office doorway said, “No. Those stay on.”

My eyes flew open, and I met Drew’s gaze. He stood in the office doorway wearing my bathrobe, an impressive erection tenting his pajama pants.

“Drew.” The reality of my situation crashed over me like a wave.

He saluted me with a steaming coffee cup. “Don’t mind me, Brick, I’m here for the show.”

“Isn’t she amazing?” Aithan purred.

“Oh, you have no idea.” Drew’s voice was husky. He took a sip of coffee, his gaze never leaving mine, and slid his free hand into his pants.

I couldn’t believe how casual they were while my brain pinged between turned on and freaked out.

“Hey.” Aithan gently touched my cheek, recapturing my attention. “Are you okay with this, Zel? If you’re not, just say so. It’s alright to change your mind.”
