VOICING DOUBTS

Ah,pipe dreams. Gotta love ’em.

Cold November rain pelted the bedroom windows. The room remained dark and I felt languid after an hour of early-morning nooky. Really, there was no better way to wake than between two horny men with the worst — and by that, I mean the best — intentions.

Goddamn, I loved these guys. They were so masculine, so alike yet so different. Drew was witty and brash, quick with an adorable, cocky grin and an arched brow. Aithan was quietly confident, neither seeking nor avoiding attention, rock solid and effortlessly sexy.

I loved them and they loved me and sometimes I even believed I was good enough for them. Sometimes when they looked at me, their gazes full of love or lust, I forgot my flaws and mistakes and regrets, and I kinda, sorta started to love myself. I kinda, sorta believed life had settled down and everything would fall into place from here on out.

Straddling Aithan, I arched and sighed as my muscles and ligaments popped deliciously.

He slapped my hip. “Stop that, beautiful. Or we’ll shag you silly again.”

Laughing, I rag-dolled onto my side, landing between him and Drew in the middle of the bed.

“Whatever she’s doing, you shag her,” Drew muttered. “I’m spent.” He lay on his stomach, arms beneath his pillow, back slowly rising and sinking as he skirted the edge of sleep.

I scooted around to rest my head against his back and draped my legs over Aithan’s impressive abs.

The guys had awakened me with fingers between my legs and lips on my breasts, both men working me over all at once and one at a time until I’d cum with a scream. Then they’d really gotten down to some serious fucking, and I’d gotten off twice more.

The three of us were naked as the day we were born — well, if we overlooked Drew’s tats — and I was buzzing with pleasure. It still seemed equal parts marvelous and mysterious that Drew and Aithan were my lovers and neither was troubled by the intimacy of our shared bed. In fact, watching and being watched played a large part in turning all of us on. Another fact of this new relationship that still shocked me when I thought about it. Then again I was learning not to overthink things so much. Going with the flow was so much more fun.

Aithan drummed his fingers lightly on my knee, his touch like a butterfly dancing across my skin. He sang something beneath his breath, just a little too low for me to make out.

“What’re you singing?”

“I Walk the Line,” Drew mumbled. “Johnny Cash. Fucking great song.” He yawned mightily.

Aithan smiled, nodded, and kept singing.

I recognized it now that I knew the title. “I love Johnny Cash,” I said and joined in, harmonizing around Aithan’s bass voice and studying his face. Fuck, he was handsome. Sky-blue eyes and short, dark hair, full lips, chiseled jaw, and a body to make Adonis jealous — everything about Aithan made me wanna get naughty with him.

Drew’s breathing slowed. I sat up and considered him. Green eyes closed, sexy lips parted, dirty blond hair mussed. I traced the lines of gray-and-black tattoos covering his back — knights, dragons, castles, and all manner of fantastical creatures and mythical symbols. Every tat held meaning for him — some referencing his books and characters, others reminders of his life and people he’d lost. I kissed his shoulder and he sighed sleepily.

Aithan shifted to sit on the edge of the bed. “I’m going running. You guys wanna come?”

“Pretty sure I just did. Three times,” I replied and laughed when he tickled me.

Drew murmured something unintelligible.

“Was that a yes or a no?” Aithan asked.

“It’s no. He’s zonked out.”

“Man, you can’t avoid the gym forever.” Aithan climbed out of bed and headed for the bathroom.

“Nice view,” I remarked.

Aith glanced over his shoulder, a cute smirk lifting his lips. He turned around. “Better than this one?”

I arched my brows and matched his smirk. “Not better. Just different. I can appreciate both of them.” I snaked out my hand and cupped Drew’s bare ass, my palm covering the roaring bear tattooed there. He didn’t even twitch.

Aithan laughed. “Well, that one isn’t moving.” He disappeared into the bathroom but called, “Run with me?” over the sound of water splashing into the sink.

“Definitely.” I stood just as Frank charged into the bedroom and launched himself over Drew to land in the middle of the bed, cheeks and tail puffed up.
