“You’re alright, Grace.” He said softly, helping her sit up. I helped her as she looked around and winced.

“Those assholes.” She said with a sharp intake of breath. Beau chuckled as she groaned.

“I’m fine.” She tried to bat him away and I stared at him, not sure what to do. I couldn’t handle this.

The memories of the day Mikail had found me rose to the surface, the gunshots, the blood, and the sound ofhisvoice drifted through my mind.

My chest was aching, I couldn’t breathe. I stood, stumbling a little as I tried to take a breath and it didn’t come.

Sweet thing you are. You scream so prettily for me. I’ll tell your brother just how good you have been. I like watching you bleed for me.

“No!” I gasped as I struggled for breath.

“Anya!” Beau called, but he was fading as my mind took me back there.

I wonder if you would scream with my cock down your throat. Maybe I should try. That’s it, open your mouth pretty thing. Your father was a weak man. I enjoyed watching him bleed to death.

“NO!” I shouted as I tried to hit the hands that grabbed my arms. I couldn’t fucking breathe!

“Anya!” Beau’s voice drifted to me but I couldn’t see. Panic coursed through my veins as someone grabbed my arms.

The last thing your father heard before he died was my promise to him that one day, I would take his daughter and I would fuck her tight little cunt with my knife and watch her bleed out while she choked on my cock. Let’s keep that promise, hey?

“Please…” I sobbed as I fell to my knees, clawing at my throat, at the hands that had wrapped around them to keep me in place.

“ANYA!” Beau shouted but I wasn’t there, I was lost in the darkness.

That’s it. Scream for me, pretty girl. Look at those pretty tears falling. Don’t stop now.

I couldn’t take it, the breath wouldn’t come and just like I had then, I succumbed to the darkness.

Anya

Ijoltedawake, thedark room disorienting as I looked around.

“Anya.” Beau’s voice came from the corner of the room where he sat in a chair.

“Beau?” I rasped as he came over, his mouth set in a hard line.

“Mama…” I started and he held a hand up.

“She is fine. William is there with her. They will discharge her in a week. Are you okay?” He said and that was when I remembered what happened.

“I’m fine,” I said as I shoved the covers back, intent on forgetting this entire experience.

“No, you aren’t Anya. That wasn’t just a freak-out about what happened. That was something else.” He said and I spun around, shoving him.

“Back off, Beau. It’s none of your business. Go back to being the cold-hearted asshole.” I said, turning away and heading towards the door.

He grabbed me, pinning me against the wall with his body, and leaned so close that I could see the patterns in the blue of his eyes.

“No, Anya. That ship has sailed. It left the dock when I came back to find you without a shirt on, covered in blood, and having a fucking panic attack.” He said and I glanced down, noticing I was clean and in a tank top and underwear.

“Did you get off on seeing me naked?” I spat; he had obviously cleaned me up. He slammed his hand into the wall next to my head.

“Stop being such a fucking child. Do you think I enjoyed having to carry you inside and strip you down, worried that you had been hurt? I had the ambulance officers look you over before they left with your mother.” He said and I rolled my eyes.
