“what do you want Damien?” I asked and he chuckled.

“I want you. It turns out I am not the only one who wants you back in the fold. Did you know you were promised to me as a consolidation prize? The Collector gifted you to me as my new plaything and I can't wait to play with you again, Anya.” He crooned and Wyatt’s hand shot out, gripping my arm as if Damien were in the room.

“I’m going to send you some coordinates. If you want sweet Beau here to live, you will come on your own. When I know you are there, I will tell my men to release him.” He said and I could hear muffled sounds in the background, likely Beau trying to speak.

“See you soon, babe.” He said before he hung up.

I stared at the screen, watching the message come through a minute later.

“You aren’t going, Anya,” William said and I glared at him.

“did you just hear what he said? I am not letting him kill Beau.” I snapped and William gripped my shoulders, getting in my face.

“And you are not handing yourself over to die either! I won’t lose you, Anya. Beau would rather die than let you go back to them. I can’t handle the thought of losing you again. I thought I lost you already today, I won’t do it.” He snarled before he pulled me against his chest, crushing me with the force of his hug.

“We can work with this. We can use this to our advantage. Damien is reckless and emotionally invested in a way that Phillip isn’t. We can use that to our advantage.” Zane said and we all looked at him.

“What are you saying?” I asked and he sighed, looking at Gideon and then back at me.

“We can set them up. We track where he is located and then take them out.” He said and Wyatt narrowed his eyes.

“And how do we do that?” He said and Zane looked uneasy.

“We use bait.” He looked at me and I realized what he was saying.

“You want me to be the bait. You are going to use me as their trojan horse.” I almost laughed at the idea, but Beau’s life was on the line, and I wanted him back.

“Yeah. We can stick tracking devices on you and find where they take you. My guess is, because Phillip has wanted you for a long time, he will want to see you. The key is Phillip. If we take him out, your family will be released. The Fellowship will back off.” Zane said as he looked at Gideon.

“He is right. The Fellowship won’t like dealing with constant chaos. They may show their hand on occasion like they did at the Chase home to scare people, but if you push back they will eventually back off. Phillip is a key player, take him off the board and they will rethink their position here.” Gideon said before he pulled out his phone.

“I’ll call in some favors. We need to keep this as clean and quiet as possible and once it is done, I want to send them a message.” Gideon’s eyes almost gleamed with excitement at the prospect and I realized that this man had his own dark past of secrets.

“This is ridiculous. I am not sending you in there as bait. What happens in the time that you are with them?” William said as he looked at all of us with disbelief.

“It isn’t your choice to make, Will. This is my life and I won’t leave Beau there when I can do something about it. They want me. If any of you were in this same position, you would do the same for me so why isn’t it okay for me to do it too?” I could feel the frustration rising, the adrenaline of the day beginning to wear off.

“Because it is our job to keep you safe! You are the center of our world, Anya. We are there to protect you. To love you. You have suffered enough.” He looked at me with a desperation that broke my heart.

“And I couldn’t live with myself if I sat back and did nothing or wasted time when I could have saved him. Trust me, Will. I am not the same girl they took two years ago. I know what I am getting into.” I said softly and he stared at me with so many mixed emotions that I had to look away or I would start crying.

“Let’s do this. His text says I need to be there by tomorrow. The location is about an hour away.” I said as I turned my back to William.

Gideon left the room to talk on the phone as Zane looked up the address. I glanced at Wyatt who had been unusually quiet and William stormed off down the hall.

“Don’t you dare call my brother, William Daley. He has enough to worry about right now. I won’t forgive you if you do.” I said, voice raised and he paused at the door to look at me.

“I won’t call him, Anya. But you should. He should be aware of what his sister is doing.” He said before he left.

I turned to Wyatt, wanting to get this out of the way now.

“Do you have an opinion on this too that you want to air? Because I would rather get it out of the way now.” I snapped and he raised an eyebrow at me then pulled me into his chest, kissing the top of my head.

“William is scared. He will get over it soon. I have plenty of opinions but I am also a smart man, Darlin. I know there is nothing I say that will stop you so I will support you every step of the way.” He leaned down and kissed my neck.

“And when you come home, I have every intention of turning your ass red with my belt while I fuck you silly for making me worry so much.” He whispered and I shivered at the words, heat pulsing through my body at the thought.

I licked my lips and looked up at him with a smile.
