“Great. How do you feel about cake?”

Hanging out with Abi was more fun than I anticipated. The fact she’d snuck me off campus might have had something to do with it.

It’s the first time I’ve seen Saints Cross in the daylight and it’s exactly as I expected. Quaint and wealthy, with a long high street of expensive boutiques and exclusive restaurants and bars.

We got milkshakes and cake at a little place called Dessert Island and talked about everything and nothing. But there’s something about Abi, a shadow in her eyes every time the conversation turned on her. I didn’t pry though. I know what it’s like to have secrets and I have no plans on sharing mine.

I’m back in my room now, lounging on my bed as I scroll through social media. Abi friend requested me earlier so I can see all her photos, although there weren’t many before a few months ago.

Now her account is littered with photos of her and Tally and Liv, the odd photo of the boys too. My gaze snags on one of Theo. He’s unaware he’s being photographed as he stares at something, or someone, off camera. His brows are drawn together, his lips pressed into a thin line in contemplation. Or anger.

Either way, I can’t help but wonder what he’s thinking.

Why do you care?I shove the annoying little voice down.

I don’t care.

But I also have eyes, and I can appreciate a good-looking lad when I see one.

Even if he is an absolute dickhead.

Still, the only thing I’m interested in where Theo Ashworth is concerned, is revenge.

THEO

Satisfaction rolls through me as the room explodes with laughter around me.

Every single set of eyes is trained right on Raine as she squirms around in the contents of the trolley and bin.

I couldn’t have done better if I’d done it myself.

Ripping my eyes away from the human meatball, I glance at Keeley who’s preening like a fucking Cheshire cat on my lap.

She should be proud, that was fucking epic.

So why do I want to hurt her for looking so fucking pleased with herself?

Clenching my fists, I grit my teeth as I allow her to wiggle about on my lap while the scene continues to play out.But the second Raine walks out of the cafeteria with her head held high despite the fact she’s got spaghetti stuck to her arse, I shift her forward.

“Theo?” she whines.

Leaning forward, I whisper. “Go and wait for me in that storeroom down by the hall. You know the one?”

Of course she knows the one. She’s probably blown seventy-five percent of the male population of All Hallows’ sixth form in there.

She licks her lips as she looks back over her shoulder at me, her eyes burning with desire.“Perfect way to celebrate,” she purrs, her hand trailing down my chest until she’s blatantly palming my dick.

Not that Keeley has ever cared about being discreet.

“I’ll be ready.” She hops off happily and takes off running.

“Of course you will,” I mutter, rearranging myself and turning toward my friends.

“What did you say to her to make her run like that?” Oakley asks.
