I was expecting it to be in darkness, so the fact there are lights on throws me, so does the girl sitting in my bed.

“Oh my God, Theo,” Millie cries, clapping her hand over her eyes. “You’re naked.”

I am?

My chin drops and I stare down at myself.

Huh. Would you look at that? Got a nice little semi on too from thinking about eating Raine’s—

“Theo,” she cries again when I don’t move fast enough. “Are you trying to ruin the rest of my life?”

“Nah, just making sure you have standards, Millie. Any guy you—”

“Shut the hell up. Shut up. Shut. Up.”

“Where’s Raine?” I demand, cupping my junk to protect my sister’s innocent eyes.

“I don’t know. I woke up alone and assumed she was with you.”

“Nope. I woke up alone too,” I confess before my knees give out and I fall onto my own bed face down.

I land right on the pillow she slept on. It smells like her. And like the sad fucking bastard I am, I hug it to me, breathing her in deep.

“Theo?”

“Sorry, Mills,” I mumble. “I think I’m dying. Elliot will be good to you.”

* * *

“He just collapsed and passed out like that,” a familiar voice says sometime later. “He’s not dead though. He’s been snoring like a beast,” Millie explains. “Well, in between calling out for Raine.”

“Fucking pussy,” Elliot mutters.

“Where is she?” Abi asks, concern evident in her voice.

“I don’t know. I’ve messaged her but it hasn’t been read.”

I don’t need to open my eyes to see the look that passes between them. I feel it crackle in the air.

I did something stupid last night.

The reason Raine isn’t here is because of me.

“I saw her leading a guy into the bathroom not so long ago.”

The words slam into my brain without invitation making my brow wrinkle and my fists curl.

“He’s waking up,” Abi points out.

“Then that’s my cue to leave. I’m not being forced to look at his tiny dick again,” Millie says, almost sounding disgusted.

“Did someone just say that Theo had a small dick?” another voice asks, clearly coming to join the party.

“I’m going to go back to the dorms, see if I can find her.”

“She’s probably sleeping off last night,” Tally offers. “You want me to walk with you.”

“Yes,” I manage to force out, my concern for my sister’s safety trumping everything else.
