“Long enough looking at the tent in his pants. Been like that since your couples’ bath, I bet,” JD teases.

Heat burns through me. I wasn’t in any state to do anything about it at the time, but the fact Reid was hard when we were in the bath together didn’t escape my attention.

Reid shakes his head. “Jude’s just arrived to check Mav over. Wants to know if that bandage on your arm needs checking out?”

JD pauses before glancing at his arm.

“Get it checked,” I whisper.

“And he’s brought you meds,” Reid adds, making all the air rush from JD’s lungs. “And you’re going to have to take them.

JD hangs his head.

Reaching out, I cup his cheek.

I’m still mostly in the dark about what happened, but I know enough to know that he needs to be taking whatever that medication is.

We all need him fully present and focused and if that means I need to figure out a way for him to take his meds then I’ll make it happen.

“Bro, you know that—” JD starts.

“I do but—”

“We need you,” I say softly, searching his eyes. “I need you,” I say quieter.

I might not have said those three little words that he did to me, but from the way his eyes widen and his lips part, you’d think I did.

“Fuck, little dove,” he breathes, dipping down again and stealing another kiss.

“Okay, that’s enough,” Reid barks before gripping the back of JD’s shirt and dragging him off me.

“Hey, I was busy,” JD complains, although he does so with a smirk playing on his lips and heat in his eyes.

“Yeah, well, you’ve somewhere else you need to be.”

“Fucking cockblock,” JD mutters, shoving his hand into his boxers.

My eyes drop as he squeezes his dick.

“Rain check, little dove?” He winks, sending a rush of heat between my thighs.

“You should both be resting,” Reid points out.

“Relaxed as fuck right now, man,” JD argues.

“Get inside and get that arm checked,” Reid instructs before shoving JD toward the doors.

He doesn’t say anything else until JD has vanished from sight, but his attention never strays from me.

Moving closer, his eyes run down the length of me, reminding me that I’m lying on the couch looking like a desperate whore.

“You okay?” he asks, his voice quiet and unsure.

“Yeah,” I say with a smirk.

Lowering his ass to the coffee table, he studies me as if he’s afraid I’m about to shatter all over again.

Pushing myself up, I sit in front of him and wait for what he clearly wants to say.
