Page 244 of Fearless

I hesitated.

And there’s no point screaming. Up here on the hill, no one will hear me. And as much as I might believe in the strength of the connection I have with my guys, I don’t think it’s stretched to telepathic yet.

I continue screaming as I’m dragged backward, but I only get a few more seconds to make myself heard before a gag is placed between my parted lips.

Oh my God, I’m going to die here.

Everyone is going to return home to find my body mutilated and bloody in the house.

Reid Harris will burn this entire town to the ground to find out who did it…

That thought isn’t as welcome or as heart-warming as I’ve found it previously now that I’m in this situation.

As I’m marched down the hallway with unforgiving fingers digging into my skin, it becomes more and more obvious that there is more than one of them. Firstly, there are multiple footsteps, and secondly, I have more than one set of hands on my body.

With every second that passes, my panic begins to lessen, and my mind starts to spin.

And I very, very much like the place it takes me.

I continue to cry out behind the gag, for all the good it will do, but there is less fear in it now and much more excitement.

This isn’t just any power outage and house invasion. This is the kind that dreams are made of.

It’s my men fulfilling my dark and twisted fantasies.

Sucking in a deep breath of air through my lungs, I focus on the scent that the air is laced with.

My favorite scent in the world.

I gasp when the sound of a familiar door is opened.

A door that only a handful of people in the world know exists. It sends a potent shot of excitement and adrenaline through my body.

Things have been crazy since Reid, Mav, and JD all stepped into their new roles. Hell, the same goes for me too. I’m either here with Daisy, or at the clubhouse helping them rebuild the place, almost from the ground up. Ridding as much of Victor Harris and his legacy from the building as possible.

We’ve stolen moments here and there, but we haven’t had anywhere near as much time together as any of us would like.

I gasp when my feet leave the floor and I’m thrown over someone’s shoulder like nothing more than a rag doll who’s totally at their mercy.

Hell, who am I kidding? I’m not like that, I am exactly that. And I love it.

The air changes around us as we descend the stairs, the temperature chilling enough to give me goose bumps.

As far as I know, the cells down here are empty after we disposed of our last guest. But that doesn’t mean Reid hasn’t locked someone up down here. He doesn’t need to tell me every single thing he does. And I’m okay with that. There are probably going to be plenty of things all three of them do that I’ll probably be better off not knowing.

I trust them.

I trust them to know what’s best for me and Daisy, like they do in return for me.

We’re a team. Everything we do and every decision we make has our family at the forefront.

My body jolts as we get to the bottom of the stairs, desire shooting through my veins as I try to imagine what they have planned.

But only one thing comes to mind, and it does little to squash the desire flooding through my system.

My whimper fills the air and someone chuckles.

It’s the first noise they’ve made since they “abducted” me, and it makes my stomach erupt with butterflies.
