Shoot. I must look like an idiot. I clear my throat and move my hand to my hair, pretending to straighten it.

That kiss did a lot more than make me forget about my ex. I forgot how to speak.

Everyone’s staring at me. Am I going through with this?

Mark grumbles something then barges past his brothers. The door to their penthouse slams a few seconds later.

I wait. There’s no other sound.

He’s gone.

How on earth did I screw that up? I stare at my feet, curious how my previous low point has been surpassed. If Carl and Sean hadn’t closed the space in front of me, I’d rush out too.

Forcing my chin up, I let my eyes move from Mark’s picture of the Colosseum to the Eiffel Tower and Stonehenge and several other noteworthy landmarks. It’s Mark in a nutshell—always on the go.

Sean breaks the silence. “Did that help, Bianca?”

Did he kiss me too? No, he didn’t. He’s reiterating the unanswered question. Maybe this whole thing was too confusing for all of us. Maybe I should have told them that I wanted them instead of anonymously sending them an invitation. That was a spectacularly vague effort on my part.

But two of them are still standing here waiting for my answer, which means it must matter. Surely this time, I can’t go any lower. I muster the ‘can only go up from here’ bravado and meet his gaze.

“Yeah, that’s a step in the right direction.”

Carl smirks. “A step in the right direction…so Mark wasn’t enough.”

Oh, shit. Mark’s ego would take a hit if they told him he didn’t succeed.

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Help us understand.” Sean takes one of my hands, caressing gently. Why does that spark the reminder that I have a thousand invitations to address? That our parents would be horrified to know I lust after my stepbrothers? That I seem to have no purpose in life other than to fail at things.

“It was…just…” I pull my hand back and scramble for a lie so I don’t have to admit how much it met every expectation. “Mark’s kiss was great…it’s just weird since we’re related.”

Carl reaches for his collar, unfastens his tie, and slides it from his neck. “What if you couldn’t see us?”

He moves behind me, positioning it as a blindfold.

Sean’s body presses against me from the front. I’m sandwiched between two of my stepbrothers. My entire body throbs with need. How wrong is it to want this?

“I can make you forget a lot more than your ex,” Sean leans down to whisper in my ear.

“Can you make me forget we’re related?”

His kiss proves he can. I lose track of who’s who. A hand brushes up my side. I’m moaning against Sean’s mouth. His tongue takes control of our kiss the way I want him to control me. I want to be able to surrender all of my worries.

A hand comes from behind and massages my breasts before trailing down and working its way under my skirt, leaving my panties in place as fingertips slide over my sex. My hips buck shamelessly in response.

The bliss I’m basking in intensifies as he moves his hand faster and faster.

Someone nips my ear. The hand exploring my neck, my back, and my arms has me wondering how many erogenous zones I have.

The sweet nothings destroy my ability to hold back.

“We can make you forget everything. All you have to do is let go. We’ll take care of you.”

I splinter into a million pieces…to his words, to the mouth on mine, to the fingers working magic between my legs.

When I drift back, my body is no longer braced between them. I’m being carried, set on a chair, and kissed gently.
