“Thank you,” she whispered.

“You’re welcome, baby. One more,” he said.

“You’ve done enough.”

“Not yet. I hope you’ll like this.” He took a deep breath, reached into his back pocket, and pulled out a small black box.

JoJo stared at it, looked into his eyes, and back at the box.

“Brett?”

“JoJo, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone. I want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much. I want this ring on your finger to show everyone we’re in this for the long haul.” He dropped to one knee and opened the lid.

She placed her hand over her mouth as she looked at the three-caret solitaire diamond set in platinum.

“Johanna Jolene Flynn, will you marry me?”

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she stared at the man she’d love for the rest of her life and beyond.

“You just had to use my full name, didn’t you?” she said in a choked voice.

Brett laughed. “Perfect opportunity. Well?”

“Yes. Yes, of course, I’ll marry you.” She jumped into his arms, taking them both to the sawdust-covered floor, and rained kisses all over his face.

He rolled her onto her back, stood, and helped her up. He slipped the ring on her finger as she gazed into his eyes and kissed her knuckles and lips.

“I’ll love you forever, JoJo.”

“And I will love you beyond that.”

“I hope so, darlin’. Let’s go inside, get warm, and call our parents. I can’t wait to tell them.”

JoJo nodded, took the hand he offered, and followed him inside the house. She’d follow this man to the end of the world and back.

Life with him would have its trials, but there wasn’t anything they couldn’t face together. She knew that as well as she knew her name; she thought with a grin. He just better keep that name to himself.

***The End***
