But I had to keep Kai safe, because… because…

“What the hell are you talking about, Ayla? What’s going on in that head of yours?”

“What’s going on in my head is how to save everyone I care about!”

“Ayla, we’ve had this conversation before! Aren’t you tired of it by now?”

“This time is different!” I tried to put as much conviction in my voice as I could, but a small whisper at the back of my head taunted me with what if I was wrong? I would be throwing everything away for nothing.

“What in the entirety of this world could possibly make this time truly any different than all the other times before this?”

I’m cursed to love my fated mate…

My fated mate, Ayla, is a beautiful and gifted healer. She’s also dangerously cursed and a deadly risk to those closest to her. Especially me.

Not my Celeste. I see the awareness in her eyes, followed by the most delicious fear.

Wolf Shifter.

However, I’m not just any wolf shifter. I’m a Lunar Lord, and she doesn’t yet know that she’s in the presence of an immortal. Nor is she aware that I’ve waited hundreds of years for her.

She still refuses to believe she’s mine. No matter. Her family and her fiancé mean nothing to me. Her contempt and hatred of me even less.

Because, whether she likes it or not, Celeste is going to be my Lunar Bride…
