But so was the promise of sitting beside her in a dark movie theater. “What I want is to take you to a movie, buy you popcorn and a drink, and let you watch about five minutes of that movie before I try my best to make-out with you.”

Her shoulders began shaking as her head tipped back and she laughed. “Mr. Rosetti, I think we have a deal.”

She’d been right, it had probably been faster to walk to the movie than to have Langcaster drive us. Before I knew it, we had arrived at the old, brick building.

I held the door open, then followed her inside.

It was cool—on the verge of too cold. But the popcorn did smell delicious. She guided me up to the ticket kiosk and a man dressed in an old fashioned, years gone by, ticket collector uniform took my money.

The uniform jacket was red, and complete with the shoulder tassels and matching hat.

Incidentally, the man was likely as old—if not older—than the jacket.

What he had left of his gray hair poked out from underneath the dark hat. “Ahh, taking your daughter out for an afternoon movie? How nice,” he said as he handed me back the ticket stubs.

I could hear Cherry snort then laugh quietly.

“Thanks,” I said, not wishing to get into the complexities of our relationship with him.

We walked to the popcorn counter next, and I ordered enough popcorn, drinks, and candy to last roughly a year.

Maybe two.

There was no one around aside for the workers.

After Cherry made a quick stop to the ladies room, we found the correct theater door and she opened it for us.

I was surprised to be greeted by a small sea of large, black armchairs. They didn’t exactly fit in with the rest of the old-timey décor in this place.

“What’s with the nice chairs?” I asked as I followed behind Cherry.

“Uh, the original ones were kind of a health hazard. They rusted so bad that a few people fell. And I think they were made out of dubious contents as well.”

“The people or the chairs?”

She bounced her shoulders up and down. “Probably both.” I chuckled and she continued talking, “There was a huge outrage when they tried to close it down. A bunch of celebrities got together and fundraised to help them get new seating and to upgrade a few things.”

“I’ve never heard of this place,” I said, still following behind her. From what I could see, we were alone. No one else was in here. Even still, this place gave off homey, comfortable vibes.

The screen looked up to date but smaller than at a big theater. That must’ve been one of the upgrades they did. I’d expected old, funky carpeting. Instead, the tile also looked recent—and clean.

She turned from the aisle into the middle row, and kept walking until she found a seat to her liking.

“Middle row, middle seat?” I asked with my head quirked to the side slightly.

“Yep, best seats in the house,” she said, smiling over at me as she set her popcorn and drink in the proper holders. I followed suit and joined her.

It was cool in here, but I still decided to take my suit jacket off. There was no sense in wrinkling it. Before I did that though, I undid my tie, rolled it up and stuffed it into my jacket pocket. Then I opened a few buttons and sighed at the relief I felt.

When I sat down, I briefly gazed over at Cherry only to find her staring at me with a mysterious smile on her face. “What are you smiling at?”

She leaned over the large, black armrest between us and said, “You always look so handsome.”

I captured her lips and kissed her.

Hard.

She immediately opened for me, and I tasted exactly how good the popcorn was. The little moan she let out when our tongues touched made my cock start to harden. “You always taste so good,” I said, before diving back to kiss her even deeper.
