I suppose we’d find out now how much weight those words held.

I pulled off my T-shirt and dropped it on the floor. Then I bent my arms behind me and undid the zipper on my dress, letting it, too, fall.

That left me in a red, silk bra and panty set that cost more than our water bill for a whole year.

Nick’s jaw fell further open, then he swallowed. “You’re unbelievably stunning,” he said, still out of breath. His eyes trailed from my face to my chest and down—then back up again. “Take everything off and get up on the bed. Pull the covers down first, please.”

Once I heard him say, “please,” my body relaxed a bit.

Nick always used his manners in the bedroom.

It made me slightly more confident that he’d treat me well here—just like he always had during sex.

I unhooked my bra, slowly letting it slip off my fingers. Next, I slid my panties down and stepped out of them. I stood there naked for a short time, wanting him to see me. Hoping he’d lose all of his anger before he joined me on the bed.

Then I turned toward the huge, king-sized bed and pulled back the covers.

I crawled onto the satiny sheets, glancing at Nick as I moved into the middle of the bed—his eyes never leaving me.

Once I laid down, he ripped his T-shirt off and tossed it on the floor, then began to work on his belt. “Are you all right with light bondage, Eve?” he asked in a hoarse voice that I’d never heard come out of him before.

Light bondage?

I’d okay’d it with the agency, so, he already knew I was fine with that. Still, him asking permission was a good thing—and a bad thing.

He didn’t have to ask me if it was okay.

But I felt a new sense of anxiety as I imagined not having control of my arms and legs. After witnessing his instant mood change to dark and angry, I hesitated before answering.

“I won’t hurt you, I promise,” he said, pushing his pants and briefs down his legs. His huge cock bounced as he stood back up, ready for action.

I nodded and said, “Yes, I’m okay with bondage. I trust you, Nick.” And right now, at this very minute, I was not okay with him tying me up.

Did I trust him?

Not on your life.

A smile appeared on his face as he headed toward a dresser near the bed. He opened one of the big drawers and pulled out some kind of long, red material.

When he got closer to the bed, I saw that it was long, red strips of shiny cloth.

“These are silk. I’ll tie them to your wrists and ankles,” he said, holding them out for me to touch, so I did. The material was definitely silk, nearly melting into my fingers as I rubbed. “And then tie the other ends to the bedposts.”

I let go of the ties and I felt my heart begin to beat faster inside my chest. Once again it was difficult to catch my breath, even though I tried everything I could think of to calm down.

Nick let the material tease the sensitive flesh down my arm, making me shiver as he went. “Does that feel good, Eve?” he asked, his voice firmer and back in control.

“Yes,” I answered, closing my eyes briefly, letting the gentle touch of the silk relax me slightly.

“Everything I do to you will feel good. Do you understand? If something doesn’t feel good, I need you to tell me. Can you do that for me?”

My eyes looked directly into his. “Yes.”

He nodded and tied my right wrist. “I’m not a monster. If something hurts, you have to let me know.”

I felt the tension in my shoulders ease as he continued to peer down at me with those luminescent eyes of his. He seemed like the usual Nick, now—back to acting like his familiar self.

“I will, I promise.”
