“I just… don’t you need a little bit of time to yourself?” His words made me squirm and I felt my body react to his displeasure.

“I have plenty of time to myself. You don’t need to worry about me, that’s my job. Now be a good girl and do as you’re told. I have a few calls I need to make and then I have a meeting.”

Meeting.I knew what kind of meeting he was talking about and it took everything inside me not to pout. I never saw myself as a woman who shared her man with six other women and I hated that they had all come before me. I was the lowest one on the totem pole no matter which way I looked at it. How could I even think about letting myself truly fall for him under these circumstances? I thought I knew better, yet there I found myself, sitting at my desk with no panties on, listening to him speak legalese with someone on the phone while I ordered my cat food, litter, a litter box, new bed and scratch post to be delivered to my Daddy’s house.

What was happening to me?

Chapter 10

Archer

Having Audrey and Archie in my space felt a lot more natural than I could have ever anticipated and I liked it, a lot. Instead of making me uneasy, I found myself at peace. Unfortunately, I could tell that Audrey felt the opposite. From the moment I told her about my plans to keep her with me overnight, she seemed to distance herself from me.

When I left for my standing meeting with a Rent-a-Daddy client, she pretended she was too busy to give me a proper kiss goodbye. I wouldn’t allow that behavior to continue, but I really didn’t want to overwhelm her more than I undoubtedly already had. I couldn’t help it. I knew what I wanted and I was used to getting my way.

Now though, now she was here in my space. My domain. A place I wouldn’t allow anyone else into other than my very close friends. Archie seemed to settle in right away. After a quick self-tour of my apartment, he jumped up onto my favorite spot on the couch, curled into a ball and laid down, claiming it as his own. I made a mental note to have the cleaning lady start coming more often to keep the cat hair at bay.

Audrey didn’t seem quite as comfortable as her cat. Setting her bags down next to the couch, she hugged her arms to her chest like she was shielding herself.

“Hey.” I took her wrists and pulled them from her breasts. “What’s going on in that beautiful brain of yours? You’re acting as if you’ve never been here before and quite frankly it looks like you’re trying not to bolt out the door.”

She didn’t resist or recoil from my touch which was good, but she did avert her eyes. “I’m just… everything is moving really fast.”

I couldn’t argue with her, but I also didn’t want things to slow down. Not wanting to give her the option, I went a different route. “Do you trust me?”

“I do, but—”

“Ah, ah, ah.” I put my finger to her lips, cutting off her protest. “If you trust me, then be a good girl and say, ‘Yes, Daddy’ then take off all your clothes. I want you naked through dinner so I can feast on you with my eyes.”

So much for not wanting to overwhelm her, but fuck me, her resistance just made me want to push harder. I wanted all of her, body, heart, and mind and even though I had claimed her body in many ways, I was only getting pieces of the other two.

She wavered a minute, but the way her eyes dilated told me she liked my edict.

“Yes, Daddy,” she whispered.

I wanted to praise her, but maybe I’d been too generous with that. Maybe I needed to make her work harder to earn the words I knew she craved with all of her being. Maybe then I would get more out of her. So instead of praise, I gave a curt nod, took a step back and crossed my arms over my chest, waiting for her to obey.

As she undressed, my phone rang and without taking my eyes off her, I answered.

“Hey, Bas, is it urgent?” I asked my friend and business partner.

“No, Nyla just told me you have a visitor. You aren’t one to do that so I thought I’d call and check up and make sure you hadn’t been abducted by aliens or weren’t being held hostage,” he teased.

“I’m fine,” I said, coldly. “You need to tell your bratty little wife to keep her nose out of everyone else’s business.”

“I would, but then how would I get all of the juicy gossip?” He paused. “Seriously though… are you okay? Cause she also said something about a cat…”

“Fuck me, you’re just as bad as she is,” I muttered, rolling my eyes at my friends’ exaggerated concern and nosiness. “I’m fine, but I am busy so if you have nothing else to talk about, I’m hanging up.”

“Is she a client?”

“Mind your business, Bas.”

“This is my business, man! Rent-A-Daddy is all of our business.”

“Chill out. She’s not a client.”

At that, Audrey’s gaze shot to mine and she froze, her hands behind her back about to unhook her bra.
