I watched indifferently as the bottle went round and round, glad on the one hand that we hadn't come up with the idea of playing truth or dare, and on the other wondering what the others thought would happen in those seven minutes. I wouldn't even make it down to the pants in that time, because there were plenty of other things up there that demanded my attention. Or was it just awkward silence? Did they get straight to the point and then, in truth, they only needed two of the seven minutes for it?

I narrowed my eyes. Did I really want to fathom this secret? Or wasn't it better just to sit here and speculate? That seemed safer. More reasonable. I missed not only the frightening dog, but also the rescuer who saved me from the tragedy.

In the meantime, I had switched from hard liquor to something that would not cause a headache tomorrow. Even so, my vision was still blurred, and all of my thoughts were still under the light veil of alcohol.

When the bottle came to a stop, I lifted my eyes. I tried to see who it had hit next. They were all staring at me. Until one of the other women yelled that it was my turn to finally move my ass.

Stunned, I scrambled to my feet, put down my bottle and turned to the door where the others had disappeared. After seven minutes, someone knocked and they returned. It remained their dark secret what they had been doing behind the hallway door.

"Come on, we don't have all night," someone called, and I yanked the door open and stumbled into the darkness. There was a second door. Whoever was chosen would be sent through it.

Cautiously, I reached out my hand, felt for the wall, and touched an upper arm.

"Fuck!" I exclaimed, letting out a sharp scream. "I didn't know you were already here!"

But instead of staggering backward, I slid forward and into him. At least his body provided a soft landing.

I let out a breath. "Okay, this wasn't what I had planned," I muttered.

In fact, I had hoped to catch a glimpse of the one they had sent to me. That way I would be able to decide which way it would go. It must have hit one of the footballers, if I felt the upper arm muscles and muscular torso right.

A pensive sound escaped me. How long had it been since I had let anyone get close to me? When was the last time I had landed in bed with someone? I narrowed my eyes even though I couldn't see anything anyway.

Nonchalantly, I let my fingers slide up the man's body. "Oh, fuck it," I finally groaned, which should have been enough of a warning.

I grabbed the fabric, tiptoed, and somehow managed to hit his mouth in the dark.

Seven minutes in heaven, but the first second our lips touched, I felt like I had landed in paradise. The hunger that hit me was almost enough to convince me to make something more out of just kissing. Later on. In the privacy of my bedroom.

Strong hands wrapped around my hips, pushing me back until we hit the other wall. I laughed, grabbing his short hair and pulling his head back to move from his mouth over his jaw to his neck. My tongue flicked out and licked over the skin of his neck. I felt his quickened pulse, not missing a chance to let him feel my teeth before I sucked on the sensitive skin.

Finally, he forced me to let go and pulled me back up so our mouths met again. I felt his erection pressing against my stomach and knew I couldn't let it end here.

Still, I heard the knocking and tore myself away. Leaving him behind, I slipped out the door. One of the other women approached me.

"Fuck, sorry. We sort of forgot about you. We can do it again, if you want."

Forgot about me?!

"You didn't send anybody?"

Irritated, she looked at me. "No? Are you okay?"

"Fine," I replied quickly.

Either the alcohol had gone to my head or I'd kissed someone who wasn't even playing. I glanced over my shoulder, waiting for one of the doors to open. Nothing happened.

So I went back and turned on the light. The hallway was completely empty. I slowly turned around to face everybody.

"You know what? I'm going to bed," I announced, even though no one cared and I certainly wouldn't be able to sleep with the whole house vibrating with the music's bass. But it didn't matter, I had obviously drank too much.

I passed Lei on my way through the foyer. I didn't get far because he grabbed my upper arm.

"About what happened earlier..."

"It's okay. You didn't want to dance anymore. I'm not mad at you for that," I said quickly and smiled. At the very least, I had found an alternative in the basement to keep me occupied. "But I'm really tired. Bed calls."

I patted his hand and he let me go. "Good night."
