“I want to. What’s mine is yours.”
I am overcome with emotion that I blurt out my own news, “I’m pregnant.”
Parker’s eyes widened with joy.
“Pregnant?”
“Yeah, Maisey’s going to be a big sister,” I confess.
“That’s amazing news Cam. I already love our little family but adding another member is perfect.”
I beam at Parker. Knowing that he is just as happy as I am at this moment means the world to me.
We already have a family but we are now growing it and having a child between the two of us is just what we needed. I love Maisey with my whole heart and I think she will be ecstatic to have a little sibling. Parker seems to be happy himself as he is kissing my entire face.
“Camdyn Madison, you truly have saved me and turned my life around for the better. You make me so happy,” Parker says in between kisses.
My heart is so full at his words.
“Parker, you bring me so much joy and I cannot wait to start this next chapter together.”
We kiss again and this kiss is full of love and promise. Promise that our family life will be one filled with joy, adventure, andhappiness. We spend the rest of the night coming up with baby names.
“I think if it's a girl we should name her Josie and if it's a boy we name him Joe,” I finally say.
Parker gasps, “Those are wonderful. It’ll be like Josie is with us always.”
“She is. I’m sure she’s smiling down on us now,” I say and I mean it.
I knew Josie would be skeptical of me ending up with her brother but I also know in my heart that she would be so happy for us. Josie is probably looking down on us with pride.
I stare into Parker’s eyes and know that he really is my soulmate. The man I am destined to be with, even if he was always Josie’s older brother, now he is my husband.
