“Ready,” Amanda replied, nodding determinedly.

As the first notes of the wedding march began to play, Amanda stepped forward, her satin heels clicking softly against the polished stone floor. She couldn’t help but notice the empty space beside her; despite the joy of the day, there was a fleeting pang of sadness as she wished her father could be there to walk her down the aisle. But just as quickly as it came, the thought vanished when she caught sight of James standing at the altar, his eyes locked on her with a look of pure adoration.

“Wow,” James mouthed as Amanda approached, his face lighting up like the morning sun. The guests couldn’t help but chuckle at his unfiltered awe.

“Hi,” Amanda whispered, her eyes sparkling with laughter as she took her place beside James.

“Hi,” he replied, his voice barely audible over the swell of music.

The officiant cleared his throat, bringing the couple’s attention back to the ceremony. “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Amanda and James in holy matrimony...”

Amanda listened intently, her fingers entwined with James’s as they exchanged traditional vows. She gazed into his eyes, seeing not only the man she had come to love but also the promise of a future filled with laughter, support, and endless happiness.

“James, do you take Amanda to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?” the officiant asked.

“I do,” James said firmly, his voice filled with conviction.

“And Amanda, do you take James to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?”

“I do,” she echoed, her eyes shining with unshed tears of happiness.

“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

As their lips met in a tender, joyful kiss, the chapel erupted in cheers and applause. Amanda could feel the love radiating from every corner of the room, wrapping her and James in a warm embrace. And as they turned to face their friends and family, hand in hand, Amanda knew that together, they could face anything life had in store for them.

Arm in arm, Amanda and James walked back down the aisle, their faces glowing with happiness. The scent of fresh flowers filled the air as petals rained down upon them from the hands of smiling guests. Each step echoed through the chapel, resonating with the love and devotion they had just pledged to one another.

“Congratulations!” Eloise beamed, reaching out to hug her new sister-in-law. “You two are absolutely perfect for each other.”

“Thanks, Eloise,” Amanda replied, her eyes shining with tears of joy. “I couldn’t have asked for a better sister-in-law.”

“Or a better partner in crime,” James added with a wink, which elicited a round of laughter from those nearby.

One by one, they greeted friends and family members, exchanging warm handshakes and heartfelt hugs. The connection between Amanda and James was undeniable, creating an atmosphere of pure joy that radiated through the crowd.

A gust of wind playfully lifted Amanda’s veil as she and James stepped out of the abbey, hand in hand. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and the corners of her mouth ached from smiling so much.

“Are you ready for this?” James asked with a mischievous grin, nodding toward the group of paparazzi waiting eagerly outside the church.

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” Amanda replied, taking a deep breath and squeezing his hand for reassurance.

James led her forward, and like moths drawn to a flame, the photographers swarmed around them. Cameras flashed like fireworks, capturing every angle of their love-struck faces and intertwined fingers.

“Give us a kiss!” one reporter shouted above the cacophony of clicking shutters.

“Smile, Amanda! Show us that beautiful smile!” another chimed in.

“Wait, are those Eloise’s shoes? Amanda, is it true? Did you swap shoes with your bridesmaid?”

“Of course, we did,” Amanda laughed, glancing down at the comfortable flats she now wore instead of her original heels. “Eloise knows how to pick a comfy shoe!”

“James, any plans for a royal honeymoon?” someone else called out.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” James teased, winking at the eager journalist.

“Come on, give us something!” the reporter pressed, trying to mask his disappointment with a hearty laugh.

“Let’s just say it involves sun, sand, and a whole lot of relaxation,” James fibbed, wrapping a protective arm around Amanda.
