A few of the brothers frowned wondering where he’d come up with that.

Dagger’s smile lit up his face. “Because he talks so damn much, you can’t get a word in edgewise!”

Darren groaned and rolled his eyes good naturedly when everyone agreed it was the perfect road name for him considering he was a man of few words.

“Edge it is!” Race declared. “Now how about Chris?”

“Maybe something having to do with his hard head,” Jed threw out there.

“Rock, stone, steel?” Tuck suggested.

“How about Rebound because despite his best efforts to knock his block off, that Maxwell fucker couldn’t keep him down?” Maverick put out there. Several brothers nodded their head in approval.

“How about Melon, since he got his melon smashed?” Jackson slid a sly eye toward Chris to see his reaction.

“Oh God. Please no,” Chris all but begged.

Race laughed at Chris’s obvious displeasure at Jackson’s contribution to the list of possible road names. “All right. We’ve got Rock and Rebound. Which is it gonna be? Rock?” He watched for a show of hands. “Rebound?” Again, he counted votes. “Rebound it is!”

“Thank you God.” Chris shrank back in his chair in relief.

“You’re lucky, brother. Me and Trick were seriously leaning toward Melon.” Jackson slapped Chris on the shoulder, jostling him back and forth.

“All right. Let’s celebrate! Let the women in!” Race waved toward the door.

He pulled out a chair at a table where Dagger and Maverick were already seated. Trick and Jackson soon joined them. A deck of cards appeared and hands dealt. Now that Trick wasn’t drunk off his ass while playing cards, he actually proved to be a pretty good player. It also meant they no longer had to make sure he didn’t lose all his money thereby bringing down the wrath of his ex.

It was funny. The men sitting with him were all married and liked their balls right where they were at. It had taken Jackson a long time and almost losing Calliope to see what he was missing out on to get his head out of his ass and claim her. He’d been worried about the age difference, but anyone who had ever seen them together could see they were meant for each other.

As for Trick, he knew early on that Lindsey was a keeper. If it wasn’t for his ex stirring up shit, they would have gotten together a lot sooner. God only knew his ex had made his life a living hell for way too long. He deserved a whole lot of happiness in his life.

It took Dagger and Maverick a little longer to figure it out. He attributed it to being older and having an old school attitude regarding motorcycle clubs. Both men had gotten married, but continued to partake of the free pussy at the clubhouse. It took Jane kicking Maverick’s ass out for him to realize what he was letting slip through his fingers. And it wasn’t just Jane he was losing. Things between Mav and Jackson had gotten seriously bad for a while but luckily father and son were able to weather the storm.

As for Dagger, his wife waited until he was asleep one night then beat his ass with a broom until he vowed to stay faithful. That had been hilarious when he’d shown up with black and blue bruises all over his upper body and had to admit it was his wife that had done it.

Someone cranked the music louder and someone else turned a porn movie on the big screen TV mounted on the wall with the sound turned down. Race had to laugh at the way Nicole and Lynette were all over Chris. The guy was more than half lit and smiling from ear to ear. Darren was already on the couch, a beer in his hand and a woman named Julie kneeling between his splayed legs. He had one hand tangled in her hair as he guided her up and down on his dick.

Race stopped Lance as he was walking by, after having dropped some drinks off at the pool table. Still a prospect, he’s been given bartending duties tonight. He would also get the chore of cleaning up the place in the morning.

“Lance? Did you and Jed get Bellamy’s driveway taken care of today?”

The dark-haired guy stopped and replied, “Yeah. She’s a really nice lady. When we were finished she invited us in for coffee and apple pie right out of the oven. She wanted to thank us and get us warmed up.”

Race grunted and sent Lance on his way. He immediately felt a tightening in his chest. Was it jealousy? No. Couldn’t be. He didn’t do jealousy. So why was he so upset that Lance and Jed got hot coffee and warm apple pie right out of the oven? He’d shoveled her driveway more than once and it was on his orders that the prospects and his men had been doing it. His teeth clenched tight, a tic starting in his jaw. He didn’t like the idea of Jed being in her house. He was a consummate flirt. He nailed anything that walked. Hell, he’d fucked their waitress at a roadside diner on their way back from Roundman’s funeral.

“Race? You in?”

“Huh? Uh, no. I’m out.” He folded his hand, placing them face down on the table in front of him. He looked around and realized he’d been so distracted with the idea of Jed in Bellamy’s house that he’d just lost $100. Shit. He had a really good hand, too.

Jackson leaned into the table as he asked, “You want to have some fun?”

Trick was smiling while everyone else looked as suspicious as Race did.

“I’m going to get Tori over there to give Lance a blowjob.” The blonde sweetbutt was a favorite of the brothers and gave amazing head.

“How is that supposed to be fun for anyone but Lance?” Dagger wanted to know.

“I told him earlier that pussy was off limits to prospects at a patch party.”
