“No, but I have screenshots of what he posted. My friends sent them to me.” She sat up and got her phone from the coffee table. “If you have Facebook, I can pull him up and show you what he looks like.”

Bellamy went to her bedroom to get her phone where she left it charging. She pulled up the social media app and switched phones with Liza. There were only a few screenshots, but that was all it would take to ruin Liza’s reputation. The little prick bragged about how easy it had been to get Liza to “give it up.” He said some other things that sent Bellamy into a rage. She couldn’t let Liza know how pissed she was because she didn’t want to make her feel even worse.

“Make sure you save these screenshots. Put them in a folder so that if your parents want to take him to court, you have evidence.”

“You think they’ll want to take it to court? Oh my God! I don’t want to have to talk about this in front of a bunch of people.”

Bellamy snorted and patted her hand. “No. I don’t think your parents will want to take him to court. I think either your brother or your father is going to find out and have a good heart to heart with the jerk.”

Liza stared at her for a minute before she handed Bellamy her phone back. “Here. This is the asshole.”

“Hmm.” Bellamy had to admit the kid was cute, but it was overshadowed by his cocky attitude. She scrolled through his about information. What an idiot. He listed his address. He had pictures of his car posted. He posted that he was going to meet friends at a favorite pizza place in town tonight at seven.

“Listen. You need to tell your parents about this.”

“No! I can’t tell my dad! He might kill him!” Liza clutched Bellamy’s hand tightly. “You have to promise me you won’t tell Dad. Please. Promise me.”

“Honey, I am not comfortable with keeping things from him that involve his children. That being said, I am so happy that you feel comfortable enough with me to tell me. But I want you to promise me that you will tell your mother about this. One of your parents needs to know so they can have your back.”

Liza looked doubtful.

“Liza, they are your parents. They love you unconditionally. Nothing you do will ever change that.” She smoothed down Liza’s hair. “If you promise to tell your mom, tonight, I won’t say anything to your dad. Deal?”

Liza bit into her bottom lip, rolling Bellamy’s request around in her mind. “Okay. I’ll tell Mom when I get home.”

“Good. I’m glad. Anytime you need to talk to someone, honey, I’m here for you.” The sound of Race’s truck pulling up in his driveway drew their attention. “Go in my bathroom and splash cool water on your face. Maybe hold a cool washcloth to your eyes for a minute.”

Liza got up and went to do as instructed. She came back out a few minutes later better. She had her phone to her ear and was smiling. “Yes, Dad. I’m at Bellamy’s. I came over to say hi. Okay. I’ll be over in a few minutes. She’s pulling cookies out of the oven and I wanted to get one.” She flinched at the white lie. “Okay. Bye.”

She shoved her phone in her back pocket. “Sorry I drug you into my lie.”

“It’s okay. This time.”

Liza slipped her coat on and stood at the door. “Thanks again, Bellamy. I appreciate you listening to me.”

“Never a problem. Here. Take these cookies. Don’t want to make everyone jealous you got goodies and they didn’t.”

Liza surprised her when she stepped forward and hugged her tight. She stepped back and waved. “Bye.”

7:00p.m.

“There you are, you little shit.” Bellamy sat in her car toward the back of the parking lot at the pizza place Clay was stupid enough to tell everyone he was going to be at tonight. Kids today were stupid. They posted everything about their lives on social media. They were giving away their privacy and making it too damn easy for bad people to find them.

Bellamy figured she’d have to wait a while for the prick to enjoy his pizza with his friends. That was fine with her. She had all the time in the world to wait him out. She gave it thirty minutes before she stepped out of her car, twisted a silencer to the end of her gun and took aim at the light above Clay’s car.Pop!The light exploded, raining broken pieces of glass to the ground and leaving his car in shadows. “Perfect.”

One of the cool things about being the sister to a crime lord was he taught her how to take care of herself. He taught her how to defend herself and how to shoot a gun. He’d probably have a fit if he knew that one of his men had taken her education even further. Mick had been retired SpecOps and had taken what Isaac taught and expanded it. He told her if she were ever kidnapped and bound, the most important thing to remember was to remain calm. Getting hysterical could only make matters worse. He’d taught her how to escape different bindings such as zip ties, ropes and duct tape. He also taught her how to use knives, brass knuckles, rifles and how virtually anything could be used as a weapon. He’d been an amazing teacher and she missed him. It had broken her heart when she got the call from her brother saying he’d died of lung cancer. That had been six years ago.

She shoved the gun in her glove compartment and moseyed over to Clay’s car. Despite having all that knowledge, she didn’t plan on killing the kid. She didn’t have to. Keying his car and slashing three of his four tires would rock his world. With a pocket-sized screwdriver she scratched up one side and down the other. Not a lot, but enough that it would need a whole new paint job. Then she pulled out a small knife and jammed it into three tires.

Smiling to herself, she returned to her car and settled in to wait.

An hour and a half later, Clay waved goodbye to his friends as they crossed the street and got in their car. Clay continued to the side lot where he’d parked his car. He stopped in front of his car, his head tipped up, looking at the now broken light. He went to the driver’s side door and stopped. He backed up and then that’s when he spotted his tires were flat. He got out his phone and used the light as he walked around the whole car. His mouth fell open in shock. There was no denying someone had vandalized his car.

Now was her time to make him see the error of his ways.

Bellamy sauntered toward Clay. “Wow. What happened here?”
