“You were more than fine, angel.” He nuzzled his nose along my hair.

Tristan pressed his cheek to my back. “I like this. Not your panic attack. Shit.” He lifted his head from my skin, but I pulled on his arm to bring him close again.

“I know what you meant,” I told him. “I like this too.”

“Could we have this? Could you see me as more than someone who needs protection, Romeo?”

My mind worked through what he asked. While I could see how he drew the conclusion, deep down, it was more than that. “Did I want to protect you? Yes. But I also saw you. After you spilled your coffee on me, I noticed your slender body and the way your shorts hugged your ass when you grabbed the napkins. Then I chastised myself for looking.”

“Oh,” he murmured and rubbed his cheek against my skin. “You’re very handsome. I haven’t seen anyone dance like you do except on the computer. I bet you’re beautiful on stage.”

“He’s a gift,” Dash said. “You should see the way he grinds his hips. Fuck, I could picture you drilling my ass like that, Romeo.”

I gasped and sat up. “You bottom?” Now that the image was in my head, I wanted to act it out in real life.

“Hell yeah. I’ll take anything that comes my way. Wait. That sounded too desperate. I have standards. What I meant to say was I’m vers. I don’t put a label on my sexuality.”

“I’m not asking you to.”

He leaned forward to drag his nose along my neck, inhaling me. “I want you, Romeo. You and Tristan. Not just for sex. You’re like those damn pot brownies Slater makes. One bite isn’t enough. I want more and more.”

“You’re comparing us to weed?” I chuckled.

“Mmm, but you’re much more addicting. Having you both as we are now, I want it all.”

“I think we should go on a date,” Tristan said, his voice rumbling over my back, a soothing vibration. “If we can’t get past one date and the attention we’ll get in public, we shouldn’t try for more. I’ve been reading and seeing photos of Reed, Casper, and Elic. They get a lot of hatred. We have to get past that if we have any hope of being more. Plus, you’re a very recognizable person, Dash. Romeo and I would have to get used to the spotlight.”

“That’s a good idea,” I said. “But… I come with baggage.”

“Your hulking bodyguard?” Dash asked.

I nodded. “He’s just part of it.”

“Do you want to tell us about it?”

Opening my mouth, I took a deep breath and prepared to do just that when I heard the tap of loafers over the tiled floor. Fuck me. “Seriously?” I asked and turned toward the noise. Jordanwasn’t a front-door entrant. Never had been here. He always snuck in through the back.

What was about to happen would either chase these two away, or they were going to double down and we’d go on a date.

I tried to scramble off Dash’s lap, but he held me firm as he turned and got a look at part one of my baggage.

“Unhand him,” Jordan seethed low. There was no missing Bruno and Ajax. One word from Jordan and they’d unleash hell on Dash and Tristan.

“Boundaries!” I yelled. This time I could get up. Dash’s shock at seeing Jordan worked in my favor. “What if I’d been in the middle of fucking them and you walked in? Jesus, Jordan.”

His eyes never strayed from Dash and Tristan seated on my couch with their shirts off. “Bruno said a man parked his motorcycle on the side of your home and went inside. I had to make sure you were okay.”

“No, you were being nosy as hell. This has worked between us because I had nothing to hide. Not that I’m hiding them. But how am I supposed to build a relationship with a potential partner if you barge in here without so much as knocking on the door?”

“You can do better.”

“And you can get out.”

Glacially slow, Jordan moved his hard gaze from Dash and Tristan to me. A different man would be afraid. I was too pissed to be. “Excuse me?”

“You will not come in here and judge what I do.” He wasn’t the only one who could be pissed. “I don’t care if you don’t like them or think I should find someone else. That is my decision to make, not yours. I’ve managed just fine on my own before you came into my life.”

“That was when Mal—”
