Myrtle nodded. “Good, but you do realize that if I ever meet any of them and they allude to you and I connecting for weeks, I am going to correct that sharpish.”

He nodded. “Understood. I deserve it.”

“Don’t be so accepting. I have all kinds of time to make you look like an idiot or an asshole depending on my whim.”

Byron chuckled as they moved around the round table. “She’s a writer, Toros. She isn’t kidding.”

She nodded. “Currently, I am lining up a very sad tale of your run with chlamydia and my patient wait for your dick not to be toxic.”

Teyval grinned. “With that in mind, here you go.” He pulled a folded envelope out of his pocket and handed it to her. “Byron and I did ours last week. Denith wasn’t up for it.”

She blinked and read the paperwork. Oh. STD panel. “How did you know...”

It was negative for all selected diseases.

He chuckled. “I read a few of your books. Your heroines are cautious. It stands to reason you would be.”

Byron set his envelope next to her, and she picked it up numbly.

Denith chuckled. “My paperwork was started yesterday.”

She laughed and looked at the negative result. So, that was two.

Denith looked at Toros. “Myrtle isn’t going to let you near her until you get a full STD panel. There is one of her and four of us. If one of us carries something, it is going to cross to the others in under a week.”

Myrtle looked at him. “Boy, are you optimistic.”

He grinned. “Nisha has told me what you crave in the dark of the night, and I am willing to hold it hostage.”

She looked at him and gasped. “You wouldn’t.”

Denith pinned her between his hands while gripping her chairback. “Oh, Turtle, I definitely would.”

He kissed her, and she simply blinked through most of it until she caught on to the heat he was trying to throw her way. It was the blaze of a hot torch while Teyval was the sun.Oh dear. He’s gonna get a big head.

Denith smiled. “Why do you taste better every time?”

She stared. “Uh. I don’t have an answer for that.”

Denith looked at Toros and said, “Ask her politely for a kiss.”

Toros frowned. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. I am not healed enough.”

She felt a small flicker of guilt. “A small kiss is fine. I am looking forward to food, and that rarely happens. Nothing serious.”

She stood up and turned toward Toros as he slowly made his way to her. He carefully bent and pressed his lips to hers. It was a simple thing, but the rich waves of berries that came in with his breath made her shiver.

All of her guys taste like snacks. Not fair. It was the only thing she left her computer for.

She wanted to play a little more, but he moaned softly, and she shivered. She backed away. He reached for her, but instead of grabbing and pulling her in like Denith had, he stroked her shoulder and brought her hand to his lips.

“If I had known what my omega tasted like, I never would have made that mistake.”

She licked her lips. “Good to know.”

Teyval chuckled, and Toros smiled.

Denith was bringing salsa and cheese to the table, and all indicators were that it was Mexican food, but there was also pasta. A lot of shredded cheese was on the table.
