“This is yours?” Roisin looks up at me with wide eyes. “I can’t—”

“You can,” I insist. “I can’t have my fiancé wandering about unprotected.”

She folds the knife back up carefully and hides it in what I assume must be her bra. “Thank you.”

I offer my fiance my hand. “Are you ready to head down?”

Roisin’s responding, mischievous smile is enough to set my nerves alight.

“I thought you’d never ask,” she says, putting down her spoon and taking my hand instead. “I’ll see you guys down there?” she throws over her shoulder as we leave.

“Have fun, kids!” Felicity waves us off nonchalantly.

But Bella… Bella’s tight smile doesn’t quite meet her eyes.

Before I can examine it too closely, Roisin eagerly pulls my hand toward the dance floor.

“I’d love to be able to tell you that I’m really good at this,” I murmur into Roisin’s ear as she expertly weaves us through the throngs of people moving in time with the music.

Finally, she comes to a stop and turns to me with that same mischievous smile. “Then just follow my lead.”

“Have I told you how fucking sexy you are?” I lean into her ear, nibbling at her lobe for good measure.

She pulls away with a smirk. But before I can entice her closer to me again, her hips begin to move.

Her entire body becomes a catalyst for sin.

I can only stare, transfixed by the way she moves. Her arms dance through the air, touching herself to the rhythm of the music. It’s simultaneously the worst torture I’ve ever experienced and the most heavenly thing I can behold.

Then she takes my hand, pulling me toward her with her spin. My hands reach for her hips, and we begin to move together. So close, we may as well be sharing oxygen. I’m both acutely aware of the dozens of bodies pressing into us on all sides and not at all.

Her body is everywhere, teasing me within an inch of my life. Her lips threaten to touch mine so many times, but she never follows through. Always pulling back when I try to advance too quickly.

She laughs at me gleefully. “You feeling okay?”

“You have no idea what I’m going to do to you when we’re alone.”

“Tell me,” Roisin whispers an inch from my lips.

But this time, I expect it. I take the back of her neck in my hand and hold her steady.

“Only if you kiss me.”

She pouts a little. “But I was having so much fun playing with you.”

My hands tighten in her hair, and I can see the soft groan leave her mouth, even if I can’t hear it amidst the bass of the music.

I smirk. Exactly where I want her.

I lean in, ready to make her succumb to me, when a searing pain flashes through my skull.

And everything goes black.

Chapter Twenty-Nine

Roisin

I watch helplessly as Arnie’s eyes roll back into his head, and he crumbles to the floor.
