“Why would there be a tussle in the first place?” he asked.

“I don't know. Sibling rivalry? I guess?” I shrugged.

“If it involves trying to manipulate and blackmail, then it's no longer a sibling rivalry,” he pointed out. “It's just strangers forcing themselves to play family.”

Strangers, huh?

“I guess you're right,” I said.

“So, would you delete the photo?”

“Nope. I might need it one day.”

He sighed, “You never give up, do you? And you never learn either.”

“It's like you know me, the way I know the back of my hand,” I said and grinned.

“In my opinion, just let your brother kiss who he wants to kiss,” he advised. “I mean, just recently, you were guilty of the same thing.”

I remembered the kiss and my face started to heat up.

“About that kiss,” I started to say. “You didn't hate it or anything, right?”

“To be honest, I still find it surprising,” he answered, “considering how skilled you are in other sex matters, I didn't expect you to be a virgin of the lips.”

“Just because I felt that anyone I kiss should be on the same emotional level or connection, or something along those lines,” I explained.

“It's almost like you're saying you must be in love with the person,” he concluded.

My heart skipped a beat the moment he mentioned it.

“No! That's not what I mean,” I defended.

“Relax, I'm just saying that’s how it sounded.” he laughed. “If you get too defensive, then it might end up being true.”

“I'm not being defensive. I'm just trying to make sure you don't have any misconception,” I continued my defense.

“So, I guess that means no more kisses,” he said.

“You still don't understand,” I said as we arrived at a stop sign. “The only reason I kissed you was because I felt…”

“You felt?”

“Because I felt like doing it,” wasn't the answer I wanted, but that was what escaped my lips.

The correct answer would have been, you felt like the right person for me to kiss. But I just thought about how corny it would have sounded. I was losing my superiority around Bruce. I couldn't show him a silly side.

“So, you did it on a whim?” he asked. “For some reason, that hurts me to hear. And at the same time, considering I was your first, I could never be more honored.”

“You better be,” I stated.

“I find it adorable the way you think you still have control over me,” he growled.

I gave him a sideways glance, and he still remained unfazed. I didn't say anything. I drove the car to a secluded area and parked it. My windows were tinted, so there was nothing to worry about.

I straddled him and grabbed his collar. “Repeat it. Say I can't control you.”

“You aren't even threatening in the least bit.” He smiled and held my hips, pulling me to him. “But I'll give you props for believing in yourself. Now, be a good girl.”
