Again, my face flushes.

It’s so weird to be having this type of conversation with him. When we were kids, the closest we ever got to some sort of sex talk was whether or not it was weird to have‘boy parts.’

If he notices, he doesn’t say. Instead, he continues, “If at any point the participants want a nighttwo... Well, they’re out of the Upper Tier and free to explore more with each other and new people are brought in.”

“So, this is literally a one-night stand club,” I say.

Again, a grin plays at his lips, drawing my attention to them. “You could say that.”

“Nocté,” I say the word like it’s a prayer.

Suddenly, it all makes sense. The double entendre.

London narrows his eyes and tilts his head.

I glance up at him and explain, “Nocté is Latin for night. I thought it was just a cute name for a nightclub. But now…”

“Ah,” he says, nodding. “The definition has expanded.”

“Yeah. You could say that.”

“So, does this mean you’re still with me on this?” he asks, his dark blue eyes surveying me.

Those words stir inside my belly, making me feel lightheaded and a little giddy.

I blink at him for a second, letting all that I’ve just learned settle in my brain.

I definitely understand the need for the NDA now.

I mean, if word got out…

I bite my lip, realizing the ramifications of taking this job are bigger than I anticipated.

Is this even a good idea?

I’m not sure that Seth would approve—and truthfully, the semi-awkwardness of being around London again after all these years was bad enough without it also being a sexually charged event.

Yet … there’s a part of me thatreallywants to do it.

The idea that I could design an event that marries the two sides of my personality—my event coordination and the Dirty B in me—feels sorta …right.

And to be able to plan it with London? What could be better than that?

But oh, god … What if my sister Angie found out?

I’d never hear the end of it.

Besides, she knows how close London and I were as kids and back then, she always thought I had a crush on him.

I look up, staring straight into his expectant eyes. “I’m sorry, London. I know you want an answer, but I’m gonna need to go home and think about it.”

CHAPTER11

London

“Didn’t I tell you this place might freak her the fuck out?” Cal chides, leaning against the side of my Escalade and crossing his arms over his chest.

We’re an hour away from opening, so the two of us snuck outside before the chaos kicks in.
