"What are you doing here?" His voice was sharp, laced with annoyance and something else...curiosity, maybe?

"Talon invited me. I’m Genesis," I mumbled, sitting up, trying to sound more confident than I felt. "But everyone calls me 'Genny'. I'm your brother's friend—"

"I knowwhoyou are,Genesis," he corrected me, his eyes narrowing. "I askedwhatyou’re doing here, andwhereis my bratty brother?"

I pointed to the couch, but Talon had vanished. "Maybe he's back in the bedroom...drunk. I was just... I fell asleep." My words felt clumsy, tripping over themselves.

Reece looked incredulous. "He left you out here?"

"It's fine, I was just watching TV," I gestured lamely at the now silent screen. Reece's gaze flicked between the TV and me, unimpressed.

"Looks like the TV was watching you." There was a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "You graduated tonight, right, Miss Valedictorian?"

His acknowledgment sent a thrill through me, mixed with a healthy dose of nervous energy. "Yes...you saw my speech?"

"I did. Soon-to-be Journalism major, impressive, Genesis," he said, pouring himself a drink. The way he moved, so sure and commanding, was unnervingly attractive.

I swallowed hard, feeling out of my depth but strangely drawn to him. "Genny is fine," I tried to assert, but he was having none of it.

"Genesis," he insisted, with a challenging glint in his eyes.

I rolled my eyes, trying to mask the butterflies in my stomach. "What do you want to know, Reece?"

"What are your plans after college?" he asked, pouring another glass and offering it to me.

"No thanks, I'll stick with water," I said, joining him at the bar. I fumbled with the plastic bottle he handed me, trying to keep my cool. "I want to learn the ins and outs of journalism and get some real-life experience."

He eyed me, his gaze intense and unyielding. "Is that so?" There was something about the way he looked at me like he was seeing more than just the words I was saying.

"Yes..." I trailed off, lost in his hazel eyes. His hand ran through his hair, a gesture so effortlessly attractive that I caught my breath.

He leaned in, his voice dropping to a huskier tone. "Tell me, Genesis. What all do you want tolearn?"

My heart raced, and as I bit my lip, his eyes followed the movement. There was an electric charge in the air, pulling us closer.

Before I could respond, he closed the gap between us, and his lips met mine. It wasn't just a kiss; it was a revelation, setting off fireworks in my chest. His hands slid down my back, drawing me closer, his presence overwhelming and exhilarating. His kisses were like whispers of desire, igniting a fire within me like I had never experienced before. Each brush of his lips and tongue against mine sent shivers down my spine, making me want to beg for more. His hands explored my body with a hunger that matched my own.

As our bodies pressed closer together, sighs and moans filled the room. The air grew thick with anticipation, driving us toward a need for each other. His hands explored, tracing every curve, squeezing my breasts and ass with urgency.

I arched my back, inviting him to explore further, but he broke the kiss.

"You're as delicious as I thought you'd be," he murmured against my lips, making my knees weak.

"I am...? How did you...?" I stuttered, unable to form coherent thoughts.

"You don't think I've noticed you around with my brother?" he said, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Congratulations on the graduation, spitfire."

My eyes darted down the hall where Talon was supposedly asleep, the tension in the room thick as Reece's gaze locked onto mine. "Oh, do you have a thing for my brother?" he asked, one eyebrow arching in a mix of curiosity and challenge.

"What? No, he's my best friend," I stammered, feeling heat rise to my cheeks.

"Friends with benefits?" Reece pressed, his tone laced with a hint of skepticism.

I shook my head firmly. "No, it's never been like that between us." I insisted, trying to sound more convincing than I felt.

His eyes, dark and inscrutable, roamed over me. I was suddenly acutely aware of my appearance; my yellow baby doll dress, probably wrinkled from sleeping on his couch, clung to my form. Despite the situation, I couldn't help but notice the way he appraised me, an appreciative glint in his eyes. "You look good in yellow," he commented, and I felt a surge of warmth at his words, mixed with a twinge of nervousness.

Before I could respond, a noise from the back room broke the spell. Talon's groggy voice called out from down the hall, "Gen, you okay out here? I heard a noise." The sudden illumination from the flipped light switch felt like a spotlight on our intimate scene.
