My thumb hovered over one, and it sorely tempted me to blow Mr Rigger and the Kong brothers straight to hell for a moment. God, it would be so easy.

Instead, I closed the app and opened up the web browser.

Within a few clicks, I’d learned almost everything there was to know about Jiles Ritter. It was boring stuff.

Unmarried. No kids. A financier of various small-scale businesses and organisations, all legitimate. So, what sort of partner could he have that would make him so nervous?

Satisfied but curious, I put my phone on the table and went upstairs to get dressed into something more suitable.

I had work to do.

And what fun it would be.

No violence. I laughed out loud at that. Mr Ritter clearly lived in a comfy little padded cell, or just in Never Never Land. Just how did he expect me to get his money back in a few days without banging a few heads together? Yell trick-or-treat at them?
