“Alright, well, we need to try to talk to Presley again. Axe, why don’t you head up and get her? Attempt to bridge things for now and then after we find him, you guys can work everything out.”

I nod and prepare myself to grovel for the way I acted. I know I let my anger get the best of me, and I shouldn’t have.

“Um, I don’t really know why I am the one pointing this out, but maybe Axe shouldn’t go get her?” Blade says. I glare at him while everyone else shoots him questioning looks. He adds, “Maybe have, like, Raven or even Aggie go up and talk with her. I get that Axe and her have shit to work out, but we need to locate this cabin quickly, and that is for her safety. So maybe having someone else help clear her head would be a good idea for now?” He shrugs and spins the knife in his hand around.

My shoulders drop. As much as I fucking hate it, he’s right. I sigh, “Let’s have Raven bring her down. I think she’s still up there with her.”

Blade grins. “Maybe you guys should listen to me more often.”

Sugar chuckles, “Not happenin’. I’ll go get them.” He stands up and leaves the room.

“When Pres comes down here, Axe, please let me do the talking,” Rage almost begs.

I nod but don’t respond. All I want to do is pull her into my lap and hold her close. I hate that I was such an asshole earlier. It wasn’t fair to her that I took my anger at the situation out on her. My rational side went out the window, and I felt like she was hiding something from me, but she wasn’t. Not really.

A few minutes pass as my brothers chat around me. I sit silently, trying to figure out how I can make this up to Presley and make sure that she is happy and taken care of after Ben is gone. I never want her to feel the way she has been feeling or ever go through the shit she has gone through, again.

My phone buzzes where it lies on the table in front of me at the same time everyone else’s does.

My stomach drops. One text, two words.

They’re gone.

I bolt up out of my seat, the chair falling over behind me as I run out of the room and up the stairs, my brothers close at my back. I locate Sugar in the main room with a few others. “What the fuck happened?”

“I couldn’t find them when I came up here. Aggie said that she and Presley went upstairs, but then Raven came down and laid on the couch for a while and when Presley finally came down, she said she was going to walk around outside. Ryker just said that Cade is out there running, so he went to find him and see if they can find Presley.”

The doors bursts open, and Ryker and Cade come running in with Cade’s dog, Bear, in tow. “Raven’s car is gone. The prospect is passed out on the ground right outside of the gatehouse. Grayson is staying with him until he wakes up. We both checked the perimeter. Presley isn’t out there.”

“He can wake up early. Go get a glass of cold water,” I snap to Ryker as I storm outside and run down the road to the gatehouse. Grayson is kneeling next to Daniel, who is passed out still. There is a small patch of blood by his head, and Grayson is looking at the wound on the side of his head.

“He gonna be okay?” Sugar asks, his brows pinched in concern.

Grayson nods. “Yeah. It looks like someone hit him with something, but it took them a few tries before he passed out, is my guess. There are a few different marks on his head.”

“Nerds is checking cameras and tracking Raven's and Presley’s phones,” Rage says as he jogs up to us, with Ryker close behind. I nod and hold out my hand to Ryker for the water, but Ryker smirks at me.

He walks past my outstretched hand and throws the cold water on Daniel’s face. We watch as Daniel sputters and takes a couple of deep, gasping breaths. “That wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped it would be,” Ryker sighs.

“Not the time, Ry,” Gray mumbles as he helps Daniel sit up.

I squat down in front of Daniel and slap his cheek. “You good?”

He groans but nods, water dripping down his face. “Good. What the fuck happened?”

“Presley—” He rubs his head and groans again.

I snap my fingers in front of his face. “You can be in pain when you finish talking. Suck it up for now.”

“Presley asked to leave. I told her no. She said she needed to run an errand, and when I wouldn’t let her out, she said sorry and hit me over the head with a fucking gun until I passed out. I didn’t fucking see it coming. I never thought she would do that or else I wouldn’t have let her get so close.”

I jump up and run back to the clubhouse and upstairs to my room. When I get in there, I check the safe in the closet. My second gun is missing. She figured out the code. Shit.

Footsteps sound before Rage enters, raising a brow at me. “She stole my fucking gun. What the fuck is she thinking, Rage?”

“I wish I knew. We will find her. And Raven. I have a feeling whatever is going on involves both of them. Take a minute to yourself and then come down. Nerds should have their phone locations soon.”

I sigh and nod, running a hand through my hair. I walk into the bathroom to piss and splash cold water on my face, but I freeze when I see the white stick on the counter.
