“Stone, it’s been three fucking weeks. I can’t fall in love with someone in that timeframe. We haven’t even had sex!”

Stone laughs. It’s such a rare thing to see, it draws the attention of Rage, our president, as he walks by the door, so he stops and comes in with raised brows. “What the fuck got him laughing?”

I grumble, “My sex life.”

Rage chuckles and looks at Stone. “You know he hasn’t been with any of the club sluts in three weeks?”

Stone nods. “He’s in love.”

“Stone! Shut the fuck up. I think I prefer when you don’t talk.”

Rage laughs, “Oh boy, you got it bad, huh?”

I roll my eyes at them. “I can’t be in love after three weeks.”

Rage snorts. “Yes, you can. First off, we aren’t normal around here. Second, fuck stereotypes that tell us what’s right and what isn’t. When you feel something so strongly, don’t waste time denying it. Dive into the deep end.”

I tilt my head, studying my prez. “You speak from experience,” I state. Not asking, but understanding.

He nods. “Two days. Two nights. Sixty hours. That’s what I got. That’s it. Don’t waste what’s right in front of you.” He looks at Stone. “That goes for you too, stalker Stone.” He smirks at the look of surprise on Stone’s face before turning and leaving the office, yelling as he goes, “Axe, my office. Ten minutes.”

Stone grumbles, “How the fuck does he know that?”

“He’s our prez, Stone. He knows everything.”

I get up and leave him to think about what Rage said as I do as well. I’ve known Rage for years. I knew something happened when he was eighteen, but no one has ever gotten the full story. The only one who knows is his VP and best friend, Sugar.

I walk out and grab a beer from the bar before heading to Rage’s office. Rage, Sugar, and Nerds are in there already when I come in.

I shut the door and take a seat. “What’s up?”

“The hospital is holding a charity event. We are going to be there to support them and donate. We’ll have different booths for our businesses offering discounts and selling things and donating all the money, but we also want to plan a ride after,” Nerds says.

I nod. “A ride for charity. I dig it. Want me to come up with a route?”

They all nod. As the road captain, I take control of everything related to runs or rides we do. I plan routes and lead us everywhere. It’s a passion of mine. I love the open road. Setting up routes for us to ride is a nice reprieve from my day-to-day job at the shop, which I also love. But riding and planning rides is my number one passion.

We talk some more about the charity event. It’s three months away, so we have some time to prepare. We are a huge part of this town, so we have to make a big impact on this to show our support. It also helps us watch for anyone who might need our other services.

It’s a Friday night, and usually we all go out, but tonight most of us are staying in. Nerds goes back to his tech room while I head back to the main room with Rage and Sugar. I take a seat next to Stone on the couch, and a prospect brings me another beer. I nod my thanks and watch whatever it is they have on the TV. Rage walks over to where Ryker, Cayden, and Grayson are hanging out at a table and laughs with them.

Awhile later, Ryker starts mouthing off like he normally does, and Rage takes him down and they wrestle.

“Come on, you old fucker. You can do better than that!” Ryker pokes at Rage.

Rage, not one to back down from a challenge, goes straight for him and takes him down. Ryker puts up a good fight, but he isn’t a match for Rage. Once he’s pinned, Rage smiles down at him.

“You done yet, kid?” Ryker smirks and tries to flip him but fails, and we all crack up, laughing. As Rage teases and fucks around with the boys, I glance at my phone as a text comes through.

Blade: Feel like coming to the club?

Me: Nah, night in tonight. Just not feeling it. Too much on my mind.

Blade: Yeah? A certain tiny angel on your mind?

Me: Uh, yeah. Why?

Blade: Well, brother, you're going to want to get over here then.
