He stabs straight into my stomach. I feel nothing. A numbness fully taking over. Drowning out everything that’s really happening.
He does it again.
And again.
She had a first date.
She learned to drive.
She graduated.
She got married.
She told me she loves me.
She looked just like me. Tears fall as my reality sinks in at the same time the knife does one last time. I want to scream, but nothing comes out. My mind is wanting to give in and accept that there is nothing I can do.
As I finally drag my droopy eyes open again, my vision is blurring slightly. He stands and wipes the knife off on my dress before grabbing his gun and walking towards the door.
He turns back and looks at me. “You killed this baby, Presley.”
Then he walks out the door as harsh sobs rack my body. I can’t suck in a full breath and feel myself becoming faint. My eyes start to fall closed. I see her face again. The face that’ll never be. The little girl that’ll haunt my dreams for the rest of my life.
I don’t think I can live through this. But thentheyflash in my mind.

Everyone I’ve met from the club…
They have become my family. I know I could go to any of them and they’d help. I can’t say that for my real family.
I don’t want to leave them. Leave this new life I’m learning to love. But how can I continue on after this?
You continue on for me,a little voice in my head says.You live a full life of love and everything you ever dreamed of for me.
With that thought, I take the last of my energy that is quickly depleting and try to lift myself enough to slam down the chair as hard as I can onto the floor. Hoping the people below me hear it.
I do it again. And again. I keep going. I don’t stop. I can’t stop. My body is shutting down as I am getting weaker. I slam the chair down once more and my body goes numb and lax as my eyes flutter closed. I could’ve sworn I heard them…
