It’s a rush of pain, adrenaline, pleasure- a heady cocktail that sends me headfirst into another climax that rocks my body so hard I almost black out. My inner walls spasm, gripping around his cock as his canines release the mating serum beneath my skin, forever embedding his scent in me and marking me as his.

I hardly know which way is up by the time my orgasm subsides. At some point Cole must’ve withdrawn his canines, because he’s now licking my skin, soothing the sting of his bite. I feel him shudder in the aftershock of his own release, but his dick’s still hard, still fucking me hard and slow.

“I wanna be on top,” I pant, pushing my palms against his chest.

“What?”

His eyes flutter open, meeting mine as he hovers over me.

“I wanna be on top,” I repeat. “When I mark you.”

Cole releases a growl as he slides his arms around my waist, twisting and flipping onto his back, putting me on top in one fluid motion. I push against his chest again, rising over him as I drag my knees to rest on either side of his hips.

He reaches up to run his hands over my body, squeezing my breasts. “So beautiful,” he murmurs, gliding his hands over my skin reverently. “Fucking perfect.”

A lazy smile creases my lips as I start rocking my hips, riding his dick. Loose strands of my hair float around my face as I move, the side bun that I styled for our dinner date halfway undone. I’m willing to bet my hair’s a wreck, but from the way Cole’s looking at me right now, I’d never know. Even when I’m a mess, he says I’m perfect.

The way Cole loves me is everything I’ve ever wanted, and the way I love him is completely overwhelming. I love him with every piece of me, every facet of my heart and soul. I pour that emotion into every rise and fall against him, every rock and grind of my hips. He thrusts up to meet me, burying himself impossibly deep, my inner walls fluttering around his thick girth.

Mine.

The word crashes through me from somewhere deep inside, leaving my lips in a voice so husky that I hardly recognize it as my own. Then I feel my mouth tingling, my canines descending…

I don’t breathe, don’t think. Primal instinct takes over as I drop down onto his chest, sinking my teeth into the junction of his neck and shoulder. Cole’s body tenses beneath me, his hips jerking as I feel the warmth of his release spill inside. Metallic blood coats my tongue as I, too, freefall into another orgasm, coming right along with him as I bury my scent beneath his skin.

This time, I do black out. Darkness rushes in as my body spasms, then ebbs away as I come back down, withdrawing my canines and licking away the small drops of blood that pool at each puncture. The wounds will heal, but my mark will remain, a bright white scar on his skin to let everyone know that he’s claimed.

That he’s mymate.

I feel the bond between us strengthen, forging into an impenetrable tether. Just like on the night it first snapped into place, I feel the echo of his soul in my own, the intensity of my emotions slamming down upon me. Tears leak from the corners of my eyes and suddenly Cole is wrapping his arms around me, holding me against his chest as I weep.

They’re tears of pure, undiluted joy.

“I love you,” I choke, wiping them away with the back of a hand. “I love you so much, Cole.”

“I love you too,” he murmurs into my hair. “Mate.”

I push up against his chest, a goofy grin coming to my face even though my eyes are still shining with tears. “Husband,” I say, testing out the word.

He smiles back at me, brushing my hair behind my ear with his fingertips. “Wife.”

“Not quite yet,” I tease, leaning down to kiss the tip of his nose.

He strokes his hands down my back until they land on my hips. “It’s just a piece of paper away. Unless you wanna do the whole wedding thing, of course.”

I shrug a shoulder. “Maybe.”

“Like I said, whatever you want, babe. Just let me know.” He squeezes my hips beneath his hands. “We can call each other Fiancée until then.”

“Youcan callmeFiancée,” I say, smirking.

Cole arches a dark brow. “And what’ll you call me?”

I stare down at him, grinning. “How about Sarge?”

I didn’t tell Juliet there was a step four.
