“That was truly weird.” West shakes his head. “But I liked it.”

“Did you expect anything different?” I say.

West shrugs. “Nope.”

“So, how was filming, Bachelor Number Four?” I know West can’t give me details, but anything will do.

“It was interesting. And dramatic.” He raises a brow. “It’s going to air next week.”

“Can’t wait,” I say, glancing at Eva, who’s walking right by us.

“Wait, Eva.” West catches her wrist. “Can we talk? Please?”

She yanks her arm away. “There’s nothing to talk about, West.”

Okay. Now I’m really dying to see what happened onBridesmaid to Bride. And this explains why Eva and West didn’t sit next to each other during the ceremony.

Before they can say anything else, Skye comes and gives everyone a hug. She looks at Maddox when she says, “When are you two going to tie the knot?”

“He’s not answering that,” I cut in.

“It’ll be soon. I know it.” Skye raises a brow. “Just like that day at the beach when I knew I had to get you two together, nude. Seeing each other in your true forms would unveil your love. And it did!”

I scowl. “You did that on purpose?”

She giggles. “Not the paparazzi part.”

“Oh, boy.” Maddox shakes his head.

When Skye and Billy are gone, Maddox approaches me and pulls me into a long, sweet kiss. Then he says, “Ready to get back to the set?”

“Yup.” It’s the off-season forUrban Dawn, so my new film production company, Grassland Studios, is filmingLords of Laire, and Maddox has been an amazing partner. That’s right: I’m producing it…and playing the role of the badass scullery maid, Isobel Galloway. Squee!

I used some of the funds Mac gave me to start a cyberbullying non-profit. Then I used some more to get Grams’s book self-published, made into a screenplay, then produced it through Grassland Studios. Mac approves, probably because Grams’s book hit the bestseller list. It might also be because he landed the role of a jolly rogue innkeeper.

So, he’s basically playing himself.

I squeeze Maddox’s hand as we walk over to the film set, which is at Laire’s Castle, of course. This walk is one of our favorites, minus the trek through the cow pies. For that, I bring shoe covers.

As it turns out, celebrity relationships aren’t easy, but they’re not impossible. What’s working for us is filming together so we’re not spending months apart.

Maybe love can conquer all, but, hey…it’s definitely a team sport.
