Brady nods as his mom reaches for my hand. "Yes, Mom."

"It's about damn time," she smiles at me.

"It's nice to finally meet you," I say to her.

"Greta," she touches her chest. "I'm Greta."

"Greta," I say as Brady places a hand on my back.

"Do you two have any dinner plans?" Greta asks us.

"We have to pick up Brianna, Izzy's daughter at 7," Brady tells her. "But if you'd like, we can go out to dinner."

"You know what I'd love?" Greta throws her head back.

"What?" Brady humors her.

"A burger from Bruce's."

We both start laughing as Greta tries to get out of her chair.

"What are you doing?" Brady groans as we both stand.

"I have to get Opal to help me get ready," she swats playfully at him. "Can you two give me an hour?"

We share a glance.

"Yeah, we can," Brady says to his mom.

Two minutes later, Brady's stripping my jeans off as my back sinks into the soft comforter on his bed—our bed.

"She likes you," he smiles as he lays flat on his stomach, his warm breath tickling my thighs.

"She does?"

"Yeah," Brady grins.

I don't say anything else as his tongue circles the swollen bundle of nerves between my legs.

There's nothing else to say.

I'm ready to start my happily-ever-after.

Just like a Thompson.

Epilogue

Brady

I know she's already done this before. She's already walked down the aisle and promised forever to someone. It didn't work out. This time, though, it will.

This time, she's marrying me.

The sun sets over the mountain as all our friends and family gather outside the resort to watch us get married—for the second time.

Someone says, "Everyone please stand," and my heart beats faster in my chest. Any moment, she'll appear.

Music pours from somewhere overhead as Brianna skips down the aisle, tossing white petals in the air. She stops when she sees me, abandoning her petal throwing, and runs straight for me. I bend when she reaches me and pick her up. I ignore the tears forming in my eyes as she hugs me tight.
