Her gaze softened. “I kind of miss it, yes. But I love it here.”

“I know. I just want you to be happy, so we’ll do whatever you want, whenever you want.”

She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me. My cock was still inside her, as hard as ever. It didn’t matter how many times I came. It seemed like these days, I was constantly hard, constantly craving her. I started thrusting again, and all the cum I’d filled her with provided enough lubrication that it allowed me to push my cock inside her completely.

“Oh,” she gasped. “That feels amazing. Don’t stop.”

I never intended to stop.

Chapter Twenty-Four

Aura

The sky was clear. It hadn’t snowed at all during the night, so we left early in the morning, right after breakfast. Snowdrop pulled the sleigh easily but walked slowly, careful on the winding road that hadn’t been cleared because no one came up here. When the snow was too much, Krampus would get the shovel and clear the path for Snowdrop. Frost was impatient, running ahead, then turning back and barking, as if to chastise us for being so slow.

I didn’t feel comfortable leaving Fluffy alone, but my husband had convinced me. Fluffy was too small, and carrying him around in his box would’ve been difficult. I made Krampus promise he would build him a proper house and something to carry him in, too.

The trip was long, made even longer by the road conditions, but we weren’t in a hurry. When we finally saw the town in the distance, I pulled at my husband’s sleeve.

“Let’s go to the market,” I said. “We will find everything we need there.”

He stared at me with wide eyes. “I never go to the market.”

“Where do you shop, then?”

“The grocery store at the edge of town. And I sometimes go to the bookstore, but I’ve been avoiding it lately because, you know, it’s close to the center.”

“But the best things are at the market!”

“That’s right in the center of the town.”

I pouted. Okay, what he was saying made sense. But now he was with me, and I didn’t care what the townspeople thought about Krampus. They were going to change their mind today.

“I want to go to the market,” I said. “Trust me, we’ll get better deals.”

Krampus sighed but pulled at the reins, and Snowdrop took the road that led to the town center. Seeing where we were headed, Frost became more mindful of his frolicking. He stuck close to the sleigh and didn’t bark once when we entered the town proper.

I understood why people would be afraid of Frost. He was huge. The day before, when I came out of the workshop for a glass of water, he rushed at me, eager to play, and knocked me down without even trying. One minute, I was on my way to the kitchen, the next, I was on my back, with Frost on top of me, looking slightly confused. When he jumped on Krampus like that, Krampus didn’t fall. Well, it was different with me. Poor thing, he’d seemed very apologetic.

Close to the market, we found a spot where we could leave Snowdrop and the sleigh. Krampus told Frost to wait, and Frost listened to him without complaint. Then Krampus took my hand, and we entered the market like the newlywed couple that we were.

As we made our way between the stalls, the chatter died down and all eyes were on us. People weren’t even discreet. I spotted a few of my neighbors and waved at them. To my relief, they waved back, even if it was clear they were shocked.

“I don’t like this,” Krampus leaned in to whisper to me.

“Just act normal. Pretend like you don’t notice that they’re staring at us. Soon enough, they’ll get bored and go back to their business.”

Because that was what the market was about – business. Well, gossip too. I wasn’t going to tell Krampus that.

I found my favorite yarn seller and stopped in front of her stall.

“Hi, Katrina! How have you been?”

“Aura! What a surprise! I heard what happened. I’m so sorry.”

I shrugged. “Bad luck, I guess.”

“Yes, but it was your house. Your parents’ house! I can’t even imagine.”
