Denali parked in front of the café, and Zayde turned to face him. They were so close that Zayde could feel the heat of Denali’s body through his clothes, and the scent of his skin was driving him crazy.

Before he could think twice, Zayde leaned in and kissed Denali. It was meant to be a chaste kiss, just a quick peck to say goodnight, but as soon as their lips touched, something sparked between them.

Denali responded immediately, his arms wrapping around Zayde and pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, and Zayde moaned as Denali’s tongue slipped into his mouth.

It was like all the pent-up desire they’d shared between them all evening burst free.

Zayde’s heart raced as their kiss intensified, the taste of Denali driving him wild.

Until Denali pulled away, panting, his eyes smoldering. “What was that?” he asked.

Zayde was equally as breathless, feeling like he’d just woken up from a dream. “I…I don’t know,” he said. He felt like he’d just stepped off a rollercoaster, his emotions and senses spinning.

Denali touched his cheek. “Whatever possessed you to kiss me, I loved it.”

“You did?” Zayde had never been so bold in his life. He’d felt them vibing on each other since meeting, but he hadn’t been sure kissing the guy was the right thing to do. Zayde was relieved to discover that Denali wanted it too.

Denali brushed the pad of his thumb over Zayde’s bottom lip. “Yes. Kiss me anytime you want.”

The guy slid his hand around Zayde’s nape and pulled him in for another toe-curling kiss.

Zayde didn’t hesitate this time. He eagerly leaned into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Denali’s neck and deepening the kiss further. His body was alive with sensation, every nerve ending on fire as Denali’s touch sent shivers down his spine.

They kissed for what felt like an eternity, their passion building and intensifying until they were both gasping for breath. Denali pulled away, his eyes dark with desire.

“We should probably stop before we go too far,” he said, his voice rough.

Zayde nodded, his own voice hoarse. “Yeah, probably a good idea.”

Denali leaned in, brushing his lips lightly against Zayde’s. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t pick up where we left off another time,” he whispered.

“I’d like that,” he said, feeling a grin spreading across his face.

Denali smiled back, his amber eyes softening. “I’ll walk you to your car.”

“It’s literally two spaces down.” Zayde had no idea why he said that. If Denali wanted to walk him, Zayde needed to shut up.

“I’m a gentleman.” Denali got out, walked around the hood, and opened Zayde’s door. He even took Zayde’s hand and pulled him out. Now they stood on the street, Zayde staring up at the most gorgeous man he’d ever seen.

“You have my phone number,” Denali said, his voice soft and deep. “Don’t be afraid to use it.”

How was Zayde supposed to think when he was so mesmerized by the guy? He simply pulled his phone out and handed it over, never breaking eye contact.

With a chuckle, Denali said, “Why are you giving me your phone?”

Zayde’s brain really was melting. He couldn’t seem to rip his gaze away from the guy. “Um, what did you say?”

Denali smirked as he handed the phone back to Zayde. “Don’t forget to call me.”

“O-Okay.” Zayde shook his head, trying to break the connection. And it was a connection. “I should go. I have to work tomorrow.”

Denali took his hand and walked him two spaces down to Zayde’s Camry. Zayde used his fob to unlock his door then turned to Denali. “How about tomorrow?”

“A date?”

“Yes.” Zayde nodded. “What about dinner again? I could cook something at my place.”

“A homecooked meal?” Denali licked his lips, and Zayde’s brain took a dump again as he watched that pink tongue glide. “You don’t have to ask me twice.”
