Casey sat back down.“This time, I wasn’t in the fight.”He flashed a grin at Rome.“I’m just here for moral support ...and to watch my perfect brother, who never does anything wrong, being hauled off in handcuffs.”

“I hope it won’t come to that.”Decker turned to Bobby.“How much damage do you think we got here, Bobby?”

Bobby glanced around.“Probably no more than a thousand, but that doesn’t include the sales I would have made if I’d kept the bar open for the rest of the night.”

“Give me the total and I’ll make sure you’re reimbursed.”

Cob started to argue, but Decker cut him off.“You really want to push it, Cob?”Decker would love nothing more than for Cob to push it so he could haul him in.But if he hauled him in, he would have to haul in Rome. And the Holidays.Cob would have his day.Decker didn’t doubt it for a second.

“Fine,” Cob grumbled.“But I’m not paying for it all.”

“I’m the one who threw the first punch, I’ll pay for it,” Rome said.“I should have handled it differently.”

Decker agreed. But if today in town was any indication, he wasn’t good at keeping his cool around the Holiday sisters either.“You good with that, Bobby, or do you want to press charges?”

“I’m good with it.”He glanced at the Holiday sisters.“But I’d appreciate it if they didn’t come back in while they’re in town.”

Hallie’s eyes narrowed.“I’ll go where I want to in this town and nobody can tell me—”

Cloe grabbed Hallie by the arm and cut her off.“We’ll steer clear, Bobby.Thank you.Come on, y’all.Let’s get home.”

Not wanting Cob to start something again, Decker followed the Holidays out to the parking lot.Rome and Casey walked with him.

“Sorry, Deck,” Rome said.“I’m not sure what happened.”

Casey slung an arm over his brother’s shoulders.“I know what happened. It’s called three years without sex.”

“Shut up, Casey,” Rome growled.

“See what I mean, Deck. He’s a corked bottle of sour wine just waiting to explode.”Casey dropped his arm and called to the Holiday sisters.“Excuse me, lovely ladies, but would anyone like to continue this party at a little bar just a few miles from here?”

All three sisters stopped and turned to him.Hallie looked amused.Cloe looked like she was struggling to come up with an excuse. And Sweetie looked ...straight at Decker. Her gaze slowly perused him while he tried to ignore the wave of heat that followed in its wake. When she lifted her eyes, a smile played with the corners of her mouth.A mouth that still looked slightly swollen.

“Where’s the ice pack?”he asked.

“I didn’t want to steal Bobby’s towel.Especially after busting up his bar.”

Hallie laughed.“We did bust it up, didn’t we?That was my first bar fight.”

“And, hopefully, your last,” Cloe said.

“Now come on, Clo,” Sweetie said.“Don’t act like you didn’t enjoy busting that cowboy over the head with the beer bottle.”

Rome studied Cloe with a smirk on his face.“That took me completely by surprise. As did sending Cob to his knees. Are you drunk, Clover Holiday?”

“Of course not.I’m the designated driver. And since you and Casey have been drinking too, I’ll be happy to drive y’all home.”

Rome grinned.“Even though we’re the enemy?”

“That’s your daddy,” Hallie said.“You two are just the sons of Satan.”

Both Casey and Rome laughed as Cloe got after her sister.“Hallie!”

“That’s okay,” Casey said.“I’ve been called worse by a Holiday sister.”He looked at Rome.“Come on, big brother. If I can’t convince these lovely women to join us, I guess it’s time to head back to hell.”He tipped his hat.“See you around, ladies.”He thumped Decker on the arm.“See ya, Deck.”

Rome shook his head as he followed his little brother.

After they were gone, Hallie released a low whistle.“I don’t think I care if they are the sons of Daddy’s sworn enemy. Those two sizzling-hot cowboys might be worth Daddy’s wrath.”
