“Right place, right time kind of thing. I had taken the bus to the beach one day and didn’t want to use the public bathrooms, so I snuck into a fancy restaurant to use theirs. Some woman was crying about getting her heart broken, and when her tears finally stopped and she tried to fix her makeup she was shaking too badly. I offered to help. Turned out she was a trust fund kid and had a bunch of rich friends. They started hiring me for parties and events.”

“Only in California.” I laugh. It’s fucking wild there, especially compared to Oregon. “So, why did you stop?”

She turns toward me, folding her legs criss-crossed on the bench. “I think I started getting bitter and resentful. My mom was gone for weeks at a time by this point, and it felt like I had nothing, and these people had everything. Then I got a job at the Pub and learned quickly that even the rich people have problems. I also learned how much I loved bartending.”

“You’re really good at it. Is that what you want to do still?”

“For now. I think my mom was always in such a rush to find something that would last forever, and it never worked out because she didn’t take the time to figure out what she really needed and what made her happy. Right now bartending is work I don’t mind. I think if there’s something else I’d enjoy more, I’ll know when I come across it. Kind of like when I met you, I think. You just know when you’re ready for something new or different or whatever.”

Ever since she’s said “I love you,” she’s been more comfortable with her feelings, and I fucking love it. I have no doubt when it comes to her. It’s such a relief.

I pull my bike up in the side street that leads to Skinner Butte. I flip my kickstand out but leave it running as I swing my leg over, hopping off so Lexy can slide forward. “You ready, baby?”

She pulls off her helmet so she can focus on what I’m showing her. Her gaze meets mine, a fire in her eyes, a smile on her face that’s void of any fear. She’s sexy as fuck straddling my black seat in her cut off jean shorts, her toes barely touching the ground on either side. I should have told her to put jeans on, but selfishly her ass just looks too good in these. She watches intently as I give her a quick tutorial on everything she needs to know and point out the path. The sun is starting to set, but she’s not going to drive it far, and it’s a one way road up the hill to the overlook. When she’s confident and ready, I swing my leg back over, this time finding my place behind her.

Lexy puts her helmet back on, flipping down the visor before reaching for the handlebars. I slide my hands around her, resting them lightly on top of hers. A slight tip of her head toward me lets me know she’s ready. I kick up the stand and help her roll the throttle back. The bike jerks but smooths out as we move forward, following the straight road that leads to the path. Feeling confident she’s got this, I pull my hands off hers, letting them settle loosely into the center pocket of her red hoodie. Halfway up, I know she wants to go faster, but this road winds too much to allow for that.

We make it to the top, and she slows until she’s near enough to the curb to hit the break. She flips the kickstand out, and I reach around to pull the key out of the ignition.

“So, was it everything you dreamed?” I laugh as she takes off her helmet.

“If we move here, I’m getting a license.” The look on her face makes me think that might be my biggest selling point. It terrifies me how much she loves it.

“We’ll see,” I say, grabbing her hand and tugging her toward the overlook. One of the main reasons I didn’t bring my bike to Cali is because I actually don’t think they are safe, and the older I get, the more I’m actively aware of how dangerous they are.

“Hey! You can’t tell me what to do,” she sasses.

This is not a battle that needs to be fought at this moment. “Okay, baby. Let’s talk about it later.” I lean in to kiss her before she can respond.

She pulls back, seemingly satisfied with my statement, turns and leans against the metal railing. I box her in, an arm on either side of her as her eyes roam over the view. Below us is the road we just drove up, blocked off from the rest of the town by a layer of tall, green trees. We are up high enough that you can see a lot of the main town past them. On the far left is a nearly perfect overhead view of Autzen Stadium, where the Ducks play, and the rest of the buildings that lie in front of us are mostly downtown businesses, restaurants and bars–including Jameson’s. The sun is setting to the right. It’s my favorite time to come here.

“It’s such an incredible view,” Lexy says.

“You know what else is an incredible view?”

“Hmm?” she questions, still taking it all in.

I lean forward until I’m close enough to whisper in her ear. “You bent over my bike.”

She twists immediately into me, her bright blue eyes lighting up with a smile. “Lead the way, T.”

We get back on my bike, and I drive over the curb of the path to the overlook onto the dirt hiking trail that leads into the trees. When we get to the top of the trail, I confirm no one is hanging out and park my bike. I swing my leg over, giving Lexy room to do the same.

Lexy sets her helmet down and stands back up to look at me. “Come here,” I demand, a little more forceful than usual. I never really considered messing around on my bike until Lexy mentioned it. But seeing my favorite girl in my favorite place… fuck. This is a fantasy I didn’t know I had, but now Ineedit to happen. When she’s close enough to reach, I grab her hips and pull her into the space between me and the side of my bike.

She eyes me like she’s daring me to take control of the situation, and it’s sexy as hell the way she lets me take whatever I want from her. I crash my mouth into hers, her lips parting on contact, allowing my tongue to tangle with hers. It’s a desperate and forceful kiss so fucking satisfying it makes me wonder why kissing was never my thing before Lexy. My fingers find their way to the button of her shorts, popping them open and tugging down the zipper without my mouth ever leaving hers.

My fingers slide under the lace to find her already wet, and she presses against me, urging me inside her. I slide two fingers in easily, her moan into our kiss vibrating through me. As my fingers work inside her, her breathing picks up enough that she breaks our kiss. Her head falls to my shoulder, her hands gripping my biceps as if she needs to keep herself from falling over. Seeing her so turned on by me is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. It turns me on so much that I need more. Right now.

I pull my fingers away from her and spin her around so quickly she doesn’t even have time for her usual whimper at the loss of contact. I grip the top of her shorts on either side and shimmy them down her legs, and she steps out of them. I slide the condom I grabbed on our way out the door from my wallet before I undo my own jeans, sliding them down enough to give me access. I tug her body into mine until she can feel how hard I am against her ass. Brushing her wind blown blonde hair off her shoulder, I kiss her neck before whispering into her ear, “Bend over for me, baby.”

She does as I ask, her hands gripping the seat of my bike as she spreads her legs for me without being told. The orange and pink glow of the sunset streams through the trees, casting just enough light on her. I bite into my fist, while taking her in and simultaneously trying to calm myself because the way she looks there’s no way I’m going to last long.

Lexy senses my hesitation. “T, don’t make me wait for you,” she snaps playfully.

I pull the thin strip of lace separating us to the side and align with her entrance. I run my hands up her back under her red hoodie before settling them on her hips and gripping her tightly before I thrust inside of her.

I continue to slam into her, with equal force on my pull on her hips so she doesn’t lose her balance.
