“Mostly. I mean, he makes me feel alive.”
“Like having a fast, sexy car and an unreliable steering wheel?” She grimaced.
I thought about that for a minute. “For me, it’s like having a fast, sexy car with no steering wheel. We’re going where the car wants to go, and I have a brake pedal I haven’t tested.”
“And neither of us are using our seatbelts.” She bit her lip. “Speaking of which, what happened to your neck?”
I ran my fingers over the mark. “He choked me with my tie.”
“Did you safeword?”
“No.”
She shook her head. “You enjoy playing dangerous games with him.”
“I guess. Our interactions seem to lean toward CNC.”
“Isn’t that supposed to be negotiated ahead of time?”
“In a perfect world, yes.”
She pressed her lips together, looking worried. “You need to be careful and use your safeword before things get away on you.”
“I will.” I yawned, so tired, I forgot to cover my mouth until it was almost finished.
“You need to get some sleep if you’re going to work tomorrow.”
“I’d call in sick, but what am I going to say? ‘Sorry, I can’t come in due to a sex injury’? They’d all be jealous unless they found out you weren’t in town.”
She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, right. I doubt your coworkers think I’m as hot as you do, Sir. Don’t forget to set your alarm.”
“Shit. I almost forgot.”
“I love you, Sir.”
“I love you too, Nymph. Have a good day.”
She paused for a moment. “Did he say where he was going next?”
“No. He might show up here in the middle of the night, or he might go to see you.”
“Or he might disappear forever.”
“I doubt it. He’s obsessed with the idea of stealing you away from me.”
“Well, that’s not going to happen.”
I curled up on my side and gave her what was probably an exhausted smile. Between the physical activity and the adrenaline, in addition to my currently aching muscles and asshole, I felt downright lethargic.
“Send me something sexy to wake up to,” I said.
She grinned. “Should I send Loïc over as your wakeup call?”
“Hell, no. I have to work tomorrow.”
“So, you want what? A naughty picture of your wife?”
“A video of her touching herself while she’s thinking about me.”
