Silas considered my words. Jade moved again in my arms and my heart dropped as she began opening her eyes.
“You have yourself a deal, King of Shadows.”
The last hooded figure approached Jade. I didn’t stop him as he held a hand an inch above Jade’s open wound.
I watched as tendrils of light escaped his hand.
And began closing Jade’s open wound.
“Your wife will live,” the healer announced with a cold tone.
I took a breath and leaned down, pressing my forehead to hers. She didn’t deserve this. She didn’t deserve any of this.
And she certainly did not deserve what would be coming.
“We will see you and your wife at the Trials of Glory.”
