"Then do it already. Make me come on your tongue, fill me with your own orgasm, I want it all if tonight's the last night you can do this. Show me what you're capable of, Thorn. Make this ache I have between my thighs that's just for you go away."

If you want me to do all that then this could take all night.

"Do you have somewhere you need to be?"

"Just inside you," he replied.

I hated being the downer but I said, "Your cock is as big as my forearm right now, that's going to take quite a lot of work before I'm ready to even try it. More work than we can do in one night."

"Challenge accepted."

I shook my head at him and crawled toward him, climbing into his lap as he kissed me. His tongue plundering my mouth and dominating it. His cock was already hard and pressing against me, but it was no use. I could fit maybe half of the head of his manhood before it got too big and became uncomfortable.

"We've got all night. I'm going to worship you as thoroughly as possible and fill you with as much of my cum as I can so that your body will always remember me." His words sent a shiver of need down my spine and I knew he would make good on that promise.

What I didn't say was that my body would never forget him anyway. If this truly was the last time we could be together then I wanted him to claim me as completely as possible so that I had enough memories to last me a lifetime. Not that memories could ever compete with the real thing though. He slid two fingers inside me, stretching me as I rode them almost to completion in a matter of moments.

The night was long and full of pleasure that would echo in my memories for the rest of my life. I only hoped that Thorn felt the same way.

Senara

When we got back, I didn't miss the glare that Ronan gave Thorn. Clearly he had some idea of what had just occurred. Whether it was me trying to escape or my rendezvous with Thorn at the lake, he had some kind of suspicion as to what had happened, and whatever he suspected, he was not okay with it.

"Right. Well, now that we're all here, the raven should have got to the capital, so if we set out and head down the main road, we should be able to meet the guards that they send our way. I'd rather travel during daylight so that we can avoid any corrupted or feral fae and, of course, ghouls."

The idea of meeting up with guards was still unpleasant to me, even though I had been a royal guard myself. If I had found out somebody was moon marked or sun kissed, I never would have turned them over or given them to the courts. As much as I loved that job, I didn't agree with sending innocent people to their deaths simply because of something they were born with.

There was no guarantee that these guards that were meeting us felt the same way. Not that I thought my mark was going to get me killed anymore, but still, I'd lived my life a certain way upuntil that point, and it was going to take me a long time to break those habits.

"You might want to put another layer of clothes on," Thorn said to me.

Wyn was looking at me suspiciously, and I couldn't blame her. After all, she woke up and I had told her I was running away, only to find me coming back with Thorn. She knew my attempt had failed.

"We should also redress your wounds before we leave as well," Thorn said to me.

For a while there, I'd even forgotten I was injured. I was so focused on what was going on around me that the pain had been pushed to the back of my mind. With him drawing attention to it again, it brought it all roaring back.

"Do you want me to heal you?" Wyn asked as she looked me over, trying to find the injury that thorn was talking about.

I smiled at her, thankful to be with her once more. "Normally I would say yes, but apparently your magic might be different here."

"Senara's right," Thorn agreed, and Ronan even nodded along adding, "Your magic might be different here. The veil has a way of twisting things and making it its own. I'd rather we didn't use it until we got to the capital. For all we know, attempting to heal her with your magic might just tear the wound open further."

Wyn's face blanched at the idea. If she hurt me, I knew she'd never forgive herself, so even if she said she still wanted to try, I would refuse. Not for my sake, but for hers.

"I can at least help you dress the wound," Wyn said as she ushered me back up the stairs she had just come down. When we got into the room, Wyn seemed to realize that she didn't have any of the necessary things for dressing my wounds, soshe disappeared back out of the door. I slumped onto the bed, exhaustion hitting me hard.

The next thing I knew Wyn was shaking me awake. "Come on, Sen, you gotta wake up."

"Sorry," I sighed.

"Did somebody keep you up late last night?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

I snorted softly. "You could say that. I shouldn't have tried to escape. It was dumb. The animals that they have on the side of the veil are so much worse than on our side. They truly are monsters. This thing was...it was so big...Wyn, I didn't stand a chance against it."
