“No. I wish.” My chest squeezes as I Google him. “Here’s hisLinkedInprofile.”
Zara spits out her coffee. “Thisis the guynotbuying you?”
I smile. “I’m hoping he’s just the tip of the iceberg in the looks department.”
“And what will these men do with you once they buy you? Rent you.”
“Anything they want.” I remember Ford mentioned something about limits.
“Anything?”
“Within reason.” I GoogleHard and Soft Limits. A crazy list shows up. “Here, help me pick what I’m willing to do.”
When Zara reads them, she groans, “God, I’m jealous.”

“Please, Daddy.” Jessica uses a voice that guts me, and it claims the attention of everyone around me in Club Dare’s bar because it’s a video call.
“How old is this one?” Ashton Ives snickers, sitting on the leather stool next to me.
I pull the phone against my chest so he can’t see her. “That’s my daughter, asshole.”
“You can hardly fault me for the mix-up,Daddy.” Ash signals to the bartender. “Grey Goose. Rocks. Lime twist.”
“Yes, Dr. Ives.” The bartender nods and then looks at me. “For you, Mr. Austin?”
“Jess, honey. I’ll call you back.”
“Okay.” She’s so agreeable. “I need to let Mom know if I’m going to be abroad next semester.”
My eyes slip closed.
I’m paying for her college, her apartment, all her expenses, and still handing over six figures a month in child support.
“Email me all the payment details, honey.”
“Thank you, Daddy. Love you.” She kisses the screen, and it goes dark, taking my heart with it.
I look up at Ashton, sipping his vodka and shake my head.
With the bartender still staring at me, I say, “I’ll take a hit of Goose, too.”
My brain feels too worn down to remember all thedifferent expensive scotches Club Dare, a rich man’s sexual playground, has to offer.
Plus, I plan to take home a woman tonight. I prefer not to reek of whiskey.
“Payment details?” Ash turns toward me.
“Jess wants to study abroad next semester.”
Ash nods and grips the glass like his handsdon’toperate on children and save their lives.
