“Traced the two other cars. One is tied to another residential house that doesn’t have any warrants or priors. The second car is listed as being owned by a Robert Smith with an address of that house. 101 Highland Drive. I don’t know how the fucker passed the checks when buying the house four years ago because the information he gave doesn’t belong to any US citizen. He doesn’t exist. It’s an alias.
“Also, there are permit records that state Robert put in a very large basement but then built a modest two-story house over part of the basement. The basement is about three times the scale of the first floor’s square footage and it also has a secondary exit point that leads to a three-mile-long tunnel to the Southeast. Since I didn’t see anywhere to hold heavy equipment above land, I’m guessing they rented the equipment to do the build.”
“If they rented the equipment from old man Meissen on the edge of town, then he would have been adamant about seeing the building permits first. Even though he’s known me since I was a kid, every job I do, whether residential or commercial, he needs to see all the papers before he’ll rent anything heavy to me,” Timber says which makes sense since he’s in charge of our construction business.
I lean forward on the table as I process everything.
“Men will need to be stationed at location A just in case someone is able to get into the tunnel to escape. Smoke, you still have your drone?”
“Yeah, but it only has about a half-hour fly time, so I’ll need to get close depending on how much surveillance you want me to do.”
Everyone starts talking quietly about ideas before Smoke signals that he has something to say. I bang my hammer. Once everyone quieted down, I turn back to him.
“Smoke?”
He grins as he looks at Python and then Devil before he turns his grin my way.
“Pres, remember when Levi got the translation devices?”
“Why the fuck would you need translation devices?” Beast asks.
All of my brothers from my chapter grin. After the other set of camera’s Nicole had stashed, we had to tell them how we got information out of her. While I hate how they went behind my back, I was grateful her and Sasha got all the information out of her. Then Smoke showed them the video of what Wildcat was able to pull off before he wiped it from our servers.
“Because it was Levi and Sasha who extracted the information from Nicole when none of the rest of us could. They spoke Russian periodically to confuse and push up the fear factor. It was hot as fuck seeing and hearing my Old Lady doing that,” Dragon said, and fuck, he actually adjusts himself at the memory.
“Why am I not surprised that violence turns you on, fucker?” Loki says while laughing. Dragon just grins and looks over at me.
I will say that in the moment, I didn’t focus on that aspect. I was more worried about how she was going to handle it afterward. However, later, when the guys saw the video, it was definitely hot as fuck to see her taking charge and getting answers.
“You let your Old Lady talk to the guests? And she’s okay with that?” Doc asks.
I pause, debating whether or not to tell the truth. We hadn’t known she was going to do it. It wasn’t until I needed Smoke for something, but he said he wouldn’t be able to help me for a while and couldn’t give me a timeframe. It was then that I realized I didn’t know where Wildcat was. I pulled up our software that logs when people go through our security doors. It was then that I saw Levi log into the basement and then into the interrogation room or the sticks as she calls it.
“Oh shit,” someone says, and I look up to realize it was Punisher that spoke. “Are you telling us your Old Lady took matters into her own hands and went down there to get the info out of the bitch?”
I level him with a glare, but he doesn’t seem pissed, more intrigued and… happy?
“Yes, she did. As soon as I realized where she was, Dragon and I went down there but didn’t interfere.”
“I knew what she was going to do as soon as I saw what she had ordered. Patch didn’t know till the last second that it was unsanctioned,” Smoke says. I glare at him, but he doesn’t back down. We had a long talk after that regarding his stunt.
“Let’s get back on track,” Ryder says, sensing I’m getting pissed again. “Why did you bring up the translation devices, to begin with? What else did she get?”
Smoke grins. “Communication devices similar to what they use in the Secret Service and the military. Don’t ask me how she got them, because there’s only three people in our chapter that can know besides Levi and that’s Thor, Phoenix, and me and even then, she won’t or can’t give us all the information. Pres, I talked to Phoenix, and he agreed that with what’s going on, Devil and Punisher should be brought in the loop on this one. Reaper will get filled in later.”
I grin as relief floods me that my woman was watching out for us, though we’re gonna have a talk later about this and any other possible surprises she might have.
Timber whoops. “That’s our Queen!”
“Well, fuck, can we get hooked up with her contact?” Razor asks, and the guys laugh.
“Most likely since she also already had those bracelets made up for you guys,” Phoenix says and it’s then that I realized the Forest Creek guys are wearing her bracelets.
“Thank fuck. Hopefully, they don’t realize that or maybe Travis will forget, and Reaper and Wildcat can use them to get free.”
“She does have extra communication devices here, but not enough for everyone to have one. She must have anticipated we might have people from other clubs with us at times. Those that will be on the final legs of the rescue will all have them, and the rest will be split out as even as possible between the remaining groups,” Smoke says.
“Alright. Settle down everyone,” I pause as the chatter dies down. Looking around the room, I give them a chin lift. “Let’s plan the rescue, and I want everyone to have it down to a ‘T’ because no one is coming home in a body bag.” Fists thundered against tables in agreement.
