Timber gives us an update on the financials and, one by one, each of my brothers that oversee our businesses report on how things are going and if they have any issues or concerns. Judge runs the car and body shop, Axe runs the tattoo parlor, Smoke runs the security company, Timber runs the construction company, and Tripp oversees our apartment buildings.
Once we get through the usual business, I look over at Dragon and he gives me a chin lift as he sits up straighter in his chair, his body tense. Looking over at Bear, he does the same. I’m about to speak when Bones speaks up.
“So, is it true that that little lady out there tamed the big bad Thor and Dragon?”
He grins when I scowl at him, and I’m sure Dragon has the same scowl on his face.
“Her name is Levi Wallace. Keep your fucking hands to yourself.”
A shocked look crosses his face before he grins again and holds up his hands in surrender.
“Sorry, Pres, meant no disrespect. Are you two claiming her?”
“Yes,” both Dragon and I say at the same time. I know it’s fucking fast, but she’s it for us.
A few of the guys look shocked before grinning. They’re no doubt remembering some of the times when Dragon or I have said we didn’t want to have an Old Lady. We’d given up on finding someone that we could both be with. But that was before Levi strolled into our lives like a whirlwind. Bear grins at both of us and some of the tension that was on my shoulder’s eases. I’d been worried about what he would think of us being with Levi, especially since she considers him part of her family.
I give a chin lift to Phoenix since I can’t technically lead the vote on this one. He clears his throat to get everyone’s attention.
“All those in favor of Thor and Dragon claiming Levi as their Old Lady, say ‘aye’.”
A chorus of aye’s rings out from everyone, and Dragon and I grin at each other.
Ryder straightens in his chair and his gaze darts between Dragon and me. “Wait, is she the one that the threats are against?”
We nod and the tension in the room instantly increases.
“Yeah, Levi’s the one that the main threat is directed at. However, there’s also a threat to the twins, Sasha and Alexei, that if Levi keeps running from them, the twins will be tortured and killed in front of her. The threat comes from an Enforcer named Fang and three others,A,J,andK.”
Everyone’s posture goes rigid, and I can taste the rage and anger filling the room. Our club doesn’t hurt women or children. Clearing my throat, I turn toward Smoke, our tech guy.
“Were you able to get the images that we asked about yesterday?”
“Yeah, Pres.”
He clicks a few buttons on his laptop and I step to the side, pulling down the projector screen. After a few moments, there are side-by-side pictures projected on the screen. One of Fang’s face, and the other picture is of the back of his jacket as he fled yesterday. Thankfully, Smoke got an image where it appeared that Fang was looking over his shoulder to verify it was the same person and not a decoy.
“Here’s our man, Scott Black, aka Fang, Enforcer of Black Plague MC. The Black Plague MC is mostly made up of members of the Black family.
“Fang’s grandfather, Scar, started the group. He had two sons, Boar and Ghost. He passed it down to his son, Boar, who in turn passed it down to his son, Archer. Archer took over about ten years ago. Here’s a list of the current Black Plague members and the most recent pictures I could find of them.”
