Bear’s the last to get in his punch and the force of it royally knocks the breath out of Drae. He heavily stumbles but doesn’t drop. Bear grunts and pats his shoulder hard. Drae winces, but wisely doesn’t say anything. Nodding to him, he puts his shirt back on and tucks away his wallet.

“Pres, we need to get Tiffany back in here.” Smoke says.

Sighing, I run a hand through my hair. “I probably already know, but why?”

“She’s the one who helped the other woman place the cameras. Still trying to figure out who she is. Tiffany showed her the high-traffic areas, but she also didn’t know that we had our own cameras. I don’t know if the mystery woman spotted them or not.” He pauses and then frowns. “I also took a peek to see what she was doing recently. No one use the condoms from the communal jar. Looks like she snuck out and poked holes in them last night. I’ll dig into this deeper to see what else she could have done, but it might be better to just keep your own box of condoms hidden in your room.”

“Can I see who the other woman is? If she’s tied to Fang, she could be a plant in whatever club it was that visited or maybe even from Black Plague,” Drae asks and Smoke gives him a chin lift, zooming in on her face. Drae sucks in a breath and groans as he scrubs a hand over his face.

“That’s Melanie, a Black Plague club bunny that will do anything to be Fang’s Old Lady. She’s not very smart, but will do whatever someone says. Especially my cousins.”

Smoke chuckles and shakes his head. “You’re right about her not being very smart. The cameras are in fact in high-traffic areas, but she wasn’t paying much attention when she mounted them. A lot of them are crooked or were angled downwards in the process. It doesn’t appear that they capture audio, just video. But still, keep sensitive conversations to only in Church. That door has a handprint scanner so there should be no cameras in there. I’ll check after this just to make sure. Your office should be okay, Pres, since you also have a scanner, but I’ll check it out as well.”

I nod and head upstairs, the rest of the guys following me.

At the bar, Colt passes me a beer, and I scan the room. Drae comes in and as he looks at the women, a confused look crosses his face. He shakes himself and asks Colt for a beer. As Colt hands Drae a beer, his gaze shoots to mine in question, and I give a chin lift that everything’s all right. He returns it and smacks Drae on the shoulder, smirking as Drae tries to hide his wince. Taking a swig, Drae looks over at the women again, and that same puzzled look comes over him. Sliding onto a stool next to him, I nudge him.

“What’s wrong?”

He shakes his head, glances at me, and then back at the girls. “It’s just that Trixie looks familiar, but then again, not. I noticed it as soon as I came here, but I just can’t place it. It’s been bugging me ever since.”

As if feeling my eyes on her, Trixie looks up, which has Levi looking up as well, smiling widely when she sees me. Grabbing Trixie’s hand, they walk over toward us.

“Is now an okay time to talk with Trixie, Thor?”

I give her a chin lift and drain the last of my beer, grabbing a fresh one from Colt. Taking Levi’s hand, I lead the way to my office. Smoke is just exiting, and he gives me a chin lift. My shoulders relax a bit knowing that my office is clear of any unauthorized devices.

Sitting at my desk, Levi sits next to Trixie and takes her hand, squeezing it. I frown, wondering what they had talked about while we were in the basement for her to be so supportive of her suddenly.

“It’s okay, Trixie. Why don’t you start by telling Thor about why you went along with Tiffany?”

Trixie nods, squeezes my hand, and releases a shuddering breath.

“At first, when I got here, she seemed nice. She showed me around and introduced me to everyone. We started becoming friends. During our free time, we would hang out together, get our hair or nails done, or whatever. However, about a month before Levi came here, she started to change. She became more violent and aggressive.”

I look up when I hear a rumble come from Thor and notice his eyes have darkened dangerously and his jaw ticking like crazy.

“Did she hurt you or any of the others?” he asks.

Trixie shakes her head, but then nods as she bites her lip.

Looking back over to Thor, he seems ready to burst out of his seat. I squeeze her hand, and she takes another deep breath.

“At first, she didn’t hit us, but she would often grab our arms when she was trying to get us to do whatever it was that she wanted us to do. She’d squeeze hard, but not to the point of bruising. She was verbally abusive and manipulative to all of us as well. Especially Roxy.

“I honestly was worried that if we didn’t do as she said, that she would hurt us. She said we had to do whatever she said because she was here the longest and that Thor said she was in charge of the rest of us. Since Roxy didn’t service the guys, Tiffany said that she was at the very bottom of the ladder. She would make Roxy do the worst chores that we were given.

“Us girls would often whisper about trying to go to you about her, but each time she would catch us. I don’t know how she knew we were talking about her, but she did. That’s when she would hit us, but she always made it so that clothing would cover it or she… she would pull up our skirts and smack our asses or pussies really hard so that if someone saw it, they would probably just think it happened when we were with one of the guys. Sometimes she would grab our breasts hard and twist our nipples painfully. She’d do that until we swore to never talk to anyone about how she was treating us.”

Thor suddenly stands, throwing his chair back in the process. Trixie jumps and looks about ready to bolt or possibly faint. I squeeze her hand and whisper that he isn’t angry at her, that his anger’s directed at Tiffany.

Turning back to Thor, I bite my lip. He paces behind his desk as he runs his hands through his hair. When he pauses and looks at me, I nod subtly at Trixie, and his face instantly relaxes as he realizes he has scared her.

“I’m sorry for scaring you, Trixie. I’m not mad at you—it’s Tiffany I’m fucking pissed at. Yes, I wish you or the other ladies had come to me, but we’ll take care of things going forward. Please continue.”

She nods, keeping her gaze down, and squeezes my hand again. I hate that she has to relive this shit, but he needs to know what’s been going on in the clubhouse. We needed to talk to her anyway, so she volunteered to be the one to relay the information to Thor since she was already on the chopping block so to speak. Her words, not mine.

It was bad enough that Colt, Alexei, Ethan, and Travis also heard how Tiffany had treated them. I had to order them not to go down and get Thor. I was only able to get them to relent when I reminded them that I’d be talking to Thor later anyway about the changes, and that was when Trixie offered to tell Thor everything. Besides, Thor had to deal with Drae first. I just hope whatever they found out wasn’t too serious. I don’t want anyone getting hurt over this. Not to mention, I did get along with Drae before his sudden change. He’d even shown me pictures of his girlfriend and daughter, promising to bring them to our next gathering.
