Walking up to Gigi, I make a show of the flogger and her eyes track its movements for a few moments before snapping up to mine.

“So, you worked with ol’ Brucey-boy there to try and trick Mae into thinking I’d annulled our marriage and proposed to you?”

She huffs. “That whore isn’t good enough for you. She’s scarred and ugly now. She’ll probably never be able to conceive with what Bruce had me inject in her,” she says as she laughs maniacally and the ice in my veins runs cold.

I hand the flogger to Sasha and fish out my phone, sending her a couple of pictures.

“Sasha, can you please inflict the same wounds on this bitch that Mae received? Both times.”

Sasha grins darkly, as she steps in front of Gigi. “With pleasure,” she purrs, and I relish in watching the color drain from Gigi’s face.

Turning away from her, I walk over to Bruce, but Doc’s already at his side, injecting him with something. Patch motions for me to go over to him and hands me a note.

It’s a barbiturate drug that is loosely called the truth serum, but it isn’t a fool-proof truth serum. Nothing is. There may be some deceit, but let’s hope there’s more truth than lies.

Looking up at him, I nod. I’d rather try this and see what we get. He slips out of the room and I hope like fuck he’s going to take another blood sample from Mae.

Turning around, I’m surprised to see Levi in front of Bruce, holding a wicked looking knife in her hands.

Her face is a cold mask, but I can tell she’s beyond pissed off with what Gigi has shared. I’m surprised that Dragon and Thor are letting her take the reins, but honestly, I think Levi will be able to get answers out of Bruce better than Dragon or Thor right now.

“What was it that you had Gigi inject Mae with?”

“N-nothing,” he grits out through clenched teeth and beads of sweat start forming on his forehead.

“Are you sure?”

He presses his lips in a fine line and in response, Levi starts carving into him.

A few minutes later, his torso is covered with long, jagged, and deep cuts. He’s sweating profusely now, but I notice his eyes are tracking her every move. Before he stared over her head. My guess is that the barbiturate drug is kicking in.

“How did you kidnap all those women before? What did you use?”

“G-grief. I hurt their l-loved ones. Then when they were too f-frazzled to pay attention, I gave them our s-special sedative to get them where I w-wanted them.”

“And what was in the special sedative?” Levi asks him, her voice almost a purr, as she ignores the muffled cries of the others.

“I d-don’t know. A-Andrew was the one that g-got it for us.”

“Then what did you do?”

“C-chain them down and start to b-break them to fit the m-mold that was ordered.”

“How do you know who wants what in a bride or pet?”

“C-carter handled that. He had a w-website. Listed all their r-requirements and wants.”

“I’ve got the website. Next topic,”an automated voice states in our earpieces and I’m guessing it came from Smoke. Fuck, I didn’t know we could do that with these devices.

The corner of Levi’s lips flick up slightly before she schools her expression.

“Tell me again what you use to get the women to go with you?”

He hesitates and for a moment, I think he won’t talk.

“It’s a s-sedative. Some are mixed with a d-drug to prevent p-pregnancies. One t-temporary, and the other, p-permanent.”

“Which one did you give your future bride?” she asks and I force my body not to react to her words.
