Aurelius cuddled up to him after they got ready for bed. Jari wrapped an arm around him and stroked the Prince’s hair.

“You’re fucking gorgeous,” he whispered.

“You’re not bad yourself.”

Jari snorted. He wasn’t going to forget the sight and feel of Aurelius coming undone on top of him anytime soon, and the Prince was so limp against him, he wanted that burned into his memory too. “I guess I’m the bottom from now on.”

Aurelius paused. “I don’t feel up to receiving. It’s not that I don’t trust you. That’s an entirely different thing, and I can’t right now.”

The shamed tone made Jari squeeze him. “It’s fine, okay? Besides, as a peasant, I should bend over for the Royal Cock.”

“Yes, you should.” Aurelius chuckled and nestled closer.

Jari figured Aurelius would probably need days where he wasn’t touched, or he wouldn’t want any sexual contact. Certain things in his head wouldn’t vanish forever just because he’d reached a level of comfort with Jari. That was fine. If he got to have Aurelius in all ways, it didn’t matter who was the bottom in bed.

“I love you,” Aurelius sleepily mumbled against his chest.

“I love you too.”

Jari remained awake for a while after Aurelius’s even breathing said he was asleep. There was nothing like feeling him so at ease, and he’d treasure every night they had like this.

“I had a dream,” Aurelius mumbled in the morning after Jari awoke and shifted a bit.

“A bad one?”

“No-it-I didn’t understand it. It’s not my memories, and if I’m still having Mammon’s…”

“Do you still feel all right?”

“Yes, but I don’t like it.”

Jari brushed back Aurelius’s hair. “Maybe it’ll be an odd effect you’ll have to deal with. I know you don’t like it, but it won’t mean anything bad. Dreams in general don’t mean much, right?”

“I don’t think so.”

“What do you dream about?”

Aurelius slung a leg over him which didn’t help Jari’s morning wood. “There was this grey person, and I spoke to someone and said they wouldn’t join. Wait, let me start over. I think I was at a sort of stone house, but you know when you can’t really see everything, but you kind of know what’s going on or happening? It’s like your brain fills it in.”

“Yeah.”

“I guess the grey person went by they, and they looked sort of manly and womanly at the same time. They had four gold wings and some sort of wrap to cover their hips. I’m pretty sure it was a long time ago, so they probably had way different clothes back then. Erm, they had chains and stuff hanging from their nipples.”

“Like jewelry?”

“Yeah. It was decorative. Anyway, I’m guessing they were an angel or a demon. I called them Mot and said they should make us eight. They refused and said that just because they didn’t agree with God, it didn’t mean they agreed with us either. Then, I was somewhere else, and I couldn’t make anything out, but I said they wouldn’t join us to be a Prince of-” Aurelius shook his head slightly against Jari’s chest. “I don’t remember. Most of my dreams are so fragmented, I can’t remember much of anything to figure out what’s happening, but I did dream of staring at gold streets, and I think I was in the human’s Heaven.”

“Do angels in the Fallen realm have four gold wings?” asked Jari. “I thought it was two, but I’ve never met one.”

“I have no idea. They don’t live for that long, so the one I saw is probably dead. I’m guessing some archangels fell back then.”

Jari didn’t know enough about the inhabitants of the Fallen realm to say anything about the early days of their people and claim it as fact. “I know they’re not exactly all great, but they can’t all be horrible either. If Mot didn’t like the Princes of Hell, that probably meant he was better than them at least to some extent. Maybe they treated humans like shit. Who knows?”

Aurelius shrugged lightly. “I don’t know, but I’d rather not have any memories of his. Perhaps I’m simply stuck with them since he’s not gone from me. My eye is the same.”

“And you’re you and better now,” said Jari. “I’m kind of curious as to what the human’s heaven looks like.”
